Not gonna lie think I’ve fallen in love with his potential. Clearly has the tools to become the best wing defender in the draft, has good shooting splits (albeit with a release that needs to be sped up) moves like Giannis and is apparently still growing while only 18 years of age. Would absolutely prefer Hendricks or walker, but if they’re off the board is it insane to think that we could take a flier on him? Torn because I truly think he could develop into something very special in 2-3 years, but there’s no way he will be a positive NBA player his first year which is a problem considering the timeline we’re on. Thoughts?

If the Mavs are open to reaching for good prospects, I’d prefer Leonard Miller over Coulibaly. I think Miller is more ready to contribute year one, and he already has the size to play PF. Also, the Mavs have had good luck drafting players who have played successfully with grown men before (i.e. Luka, Hardy) instead of college competition so that’s a plus for me.
