  1. He needs to spend the summer with LeBron and his people. Work on his image. That should help guide him further into being a better man as well.

  2. I agree mostly, I want them to be concerned about holding him accountable, if he's deeply troubled, he needs help and part of that is acceptability, if he's really going through just bad mental health I do hope the people who truly care about him get him help and try to change his attitude, the gangster stuff is dangerous

  3. It's not just Ja, it's a whole 1-2 generations of these young adults and teens. They have been given everything and don't understand the value of anything, not even life itself. Any minor inconvenience in their life and they are depressed. It's concerning and troubling for our future in this country.

  4. Not to nitpick but punishment nor rehabilitation are the primary purpose of prison. The main goal of prison is to separate criminals from the rest of society, with a secondary goal of deterring others from committing crime

  5. Why are they treating a grown man holding a gun like he got drugs or something he flashed a gun it’s not like he robbed someone suspend him for a couple games it’s not a big deal

  6. I think Ja's made some really poor choices, but mental health doesn't care about your bank account. Hope he can get the help he needs.

  7. Help him get better. Give him a season or even two off to get his head together and just do him. It's the caring thing to do for this young man.

  8. Dude could be doing amazing stuff most ppl dream about and instead he wants to act like a hood gangsta instead of the young multi millionaire loved by thousands that he actually is.

  9. You guys talk about everything but what you don’t talk about is transgender’s trying to mess with kids are you all cowards?

  10. idk if i’m crazy but i feel like ja’s posts were more like a pre teen girl posting for attention than an actual cry for help. now i’m not ja morant so i don’t know his actual intentions but it kinda seems like he’s playing the victim card a little bit

  11. Ja does not have a mental health issue. Stop with the excuse. What stress was he in? He doesn't have to work a regular job from 9-5, doesn't have worry about paying bills on time, doesn't have to worry about paying kids to college, doesn't have to worry about paying for healthcare when sick and also retirement. Anyone who love to be in his shoes making millions of dollars just playing basketball.

  12. This incident tells me far more about the NBA than it does Ja Morant. It’s become evident that they failed to (or chose not to) do their due diligence the first go round. Had there been a thorough investigation with negative consequences for his actions, perhaps Ja wouldn’t be in this predicament today.

  13. This is gang culture not mental illness. He wants to be cool. Bro doesn't realize he's like an nba player.

  14. My nephew dont watch basketball at all! Now his favorite player is ja for the wrong reasons smh dude need to chill

  15. Y'all keep saying he's only 23,… Blah blah yadiyada, did Kobe do something like this when he's 23? Did MJ, did Lebron? Come on, keep it real, it's his CHOICE, not society, HE made his own decision. Nothing to do with age.

  16. Just like all these kids, selfish and ungrateful….welcome back the the real world. …consequences? What are those

  17. He suffers from identity. He doesnt know what he wants. If he wants to be a gangster, then he cant be a NBA player and the face of the franchise. Why is it so hard to understand this. And Adam silver should put his foot down and give him the Max punishment to set an example of how idiotic his actions are. Either that or the real gangs will show Ja Wick how the gang life is all about and test him

  18. They keep saying fake gangster because he plays ball but ja might really be like that can’t let what we see fool is that boy might be real on that timing

  19. so nothing of substance will be happening. sometimes i miss the way Stern has handled the NBA

  20. What they don’t want to approach is the idea that Ja is just a highly manipulative individual who knows how to direct the “adults.” It’s what he did with Jalen Rose and the commissioner, and his “apology” post. I think his instagram story was just another manipulation.

  21. I agree that this is about more than punishment. But, the punishment aspect would not just be about punitive actions for Ja – but also to send a message to all other players that you can’t wave guns on social media and simply get a pass.

  22. He lost a lot because of this. I mean he should really think about his actions. We usually don’t think using our brain. We usually subconsciously do things without thinking about it then our brain justify it after doing it. I don’t know how he can help himself. He have to get out of this situation and meditate then move on might be the best solution. The problem is maybe the reason and fuel for his success might be because of his subconscious side of his mind that he also use to be the most explosive and fun to watch nba player in this era. Maybe he needs to be like mike. Become a psycho or kobe who is obsess in the game. Sometimes if you have that talent it puts you in prison in an island making you lonely but do not have the right to be sad just because a lot of things are already given to you. He needs help but a lot of people wants to see his downfall and wants him to act mature just because they need him to mature although in his mind I want to party and enjoy my life and be free sometimes. I hope the best for this kid.

  23. Except for being a basketball player how is he different than any other young black man in America who does stupid sh-t.?

  24. Coming off hypocritical. What were you doing at as his age without millions. I have an issue with Silva announcing after the finals a punishment based on ratings…Look at them

  25. I think the issue is
We think Ja is a ball player playing a gangster – which may be true

But there's the possibility that he's actually a gangster playing a ball player; the fact his mother calls him to handle "beefs" is a giveaway in this regard.

  26. I could believe he might have self destructive tendencies due to his success and fame. Maybe deep down he doesn’t feel he deserves all the success and this behavior is a way he subconsciously is trying to ruin it for him? Idk but he’s gotta figure whatever it is out.

Hopefully the time off from the upcoming suspension will help him, but he’s got to realize that there will come a point where he will lose everything if he doesn’t get it together.
