  1. Giannis literally causes the team to build a wall. What is SAS talking about 😂

  2. Shaq didn't need to shoot from the perimeter and he's considered one of the most unguardable players of all time. So, if Giannis is this generation's Shaq, I think he belongs on this list absolutely.

You can argue for any of these guys at #1, that's why JJ says it's fluid. Any of these dudes can average 36 over a 10 game stretch, with maybe the exception being Jokic, but he brings an IQ and vision that none of these other guys have, which makes up for his lack of pure scoring.

There are players left off this list that people are going to argue for (Luka, Kyrie, etc), but any 'Top 5' list is going to have snubs based on preference.

  3. Stephen A hating on Giannis again. If we talking 1on1 defending Giannis is undoubtedly the hardest player to guard. Takes a team effort of 2-3 men to slow him down. I wonder how Shaq got praised and was recognised as the hardest player to guard even when his skill set was limited but Giannis doesn't get the same acknowledgment when he is equally dominant.

  4. Nobody can guard Giannis..there is no double team that can stop Giannis…you just have to pray for Giannis to have on off-day. Easily in number 1😂

  5. Nikola Jokić transcends being a basketball player – he embodies basketball itself. He encapsulates the essence of the game as a whole, rather than being defined by individual statistical categories. He represents something unprecedented, as his style of play epitomizes the very core of basketball. The MrMac

  6. these clowns are even more ridiculous that these comments

    sooooo silly

giannis? build the wall, entire bucks offense turns to pudding

embiid?????? barely top 15 playoff scorer, if that, and cant make reads at all, no,, trash!

durant? maybe… but i havent seen it in the playoffs when it counts in 2 years. semi-washed until proven otherwise

steph, okay, probably #2, but his passing lanes can be cut off a lot easier than his shots, and he cant beat you alone – lakers proved that

    1. jokic – and it isnt even close. seriously, how do people STILl not see this??? straight making clowns out of yall
    2. steph
    3. luka
    4. jimmy butler – yes, he's hard to guard, he's too crafty and complete, even if he hasnt shown it in like 4 games
    5. KD

tatum probably above giannis in terms of 'hard to guard' although giannis is a better player overall

  7. Doncic not even be discussed here is just disrespectful. Giannis if there is a zone defense he is out, as it happened many times when he plays FIBA tournaments. Doncic can hit you 3s , pass, attack the paint, and has limitless resources in attack. He is arguably the best offensive player in the league right now.

  8. You can’t be Top 5 hardest to guard without at least being a 2 level scorer. It’s wayy too much talent in the league now

  9. Embiid coudn't even beat Al Horford. Never has been that effiecient in playoffs. Bring Luka there. Over 30 ppg on playoff avg, even Kawhi and P George coudn't guard him. Speaking of Kawhi, he belongs here too, assuming he can actually stay fit, because Durant is on the decline and can't take teams down on his own like Kawhi or Luka can. Honorable mention to Jimmy Buckets atleast.

  10. Steph has a bad team and loses in the ECSF 1 year and everyone jumps on him, completely forgetting what he did last year or how he was the only one who did something this year. Just this season y'all were jumping on the Embiid bandwagon and calling him the most unguardable player. Haters gonna hate.

  11. Jokic
    Steph
    Giannis
    KD
    Luka
Those are the top 5, easily. Jokic and Steph definitely being 1 & 2 and the other 3 could be in whatever order

  12. D riding Gina’s because he’s strong like bro actually learn basketball.. he’s is not the hardest player to guard

  13. Kevin Durant showed he not even the number one scorer on his team, Booker that dude smh …put doncic in there and everybody know kyrie can do what he want
