Because a good chunk of fans don’t follow the Spurs. They seem to think that, since San Antonio isn’t a contender now, they should take any players of value to contenders for a bad return. That’s why Magic fans want Devin Vassell but they’re not willing to pay beyond pick #11 in the Draft because then they’ll bitch about the Spurs asking for too much for a guy that isn’t a star.

Outside of the Finals, there’s absolutely nothing else to talk about right now and there won’t be until the draft starts in 18 days.
Content creators gotta create content to make a living, which means scrapping whatever content from the bottom of the barrel (embarrassingly stupid takes like these) so that people can then complain about them on whatever social platform. That’s the modern sports media in a nut shell – and it works.
Personally we’re all better off ignoring these takes because you’re only feeding into his dumb cycle by reposting them.
It’s like that episode of The Simpsons, The Treehouse of Horror episode where all the advertising mascots come to life and start rampaging through Springfield, and the only way they defeated them was to stop looking at them.
As hard as it may be, you have to do the same for most sports media. Take it from someone who has had some experience in the media landscape as a freelance writer.

Think I’d rather keep Tre over Smart. Tre put up better stats than him while being on a cheaper contract. Smart isn’t fixing our spacing issues and while he’s a better defender than Tre, playmaking and shooting should be prioritized.

Don’t get me wrong, Marcus Smart is a good player and all, but this more wish casting by someone heavily favoring Boston than a viable NBA trade.
Besides, Marcus Smart once took a swing and hit Matt Bonner in the little Bonner, so that’s not cool.
Those 2 ATL picks are solid gold and we are not giving them up unless its for a top 10 NBA talent like Luka
