Heat plan is so simple yet brilliant. Very well established defensive sets and many high level 3p'ers around a star leader (Himmy). Spo just distilled his game to absolute basics and it is probably tougher than what one might think of

Here's the elephant in the room. MPJ is 29% from the field and 18% (!!!!) from 3 so far in the series on almost entirely open looks. This is a 50/40/80 shooter that has a max contract because of his shot making. Looks like the moment is too big for him so far. Shot variance rules in the 3 point NBA.

This Malone clown is still stuck on the Lakers, bitching about how his team is not getting enough respect. There he was again, trolling the Lakers, bragging about how they swept them as if beating a team with an aging superstar and new players lacking chemistry was a big accomplishment. His arrogance is gonna cost his team in this series, and when it's all said and done, losing to an 8th seed will be an epic failure.

Everyone who has seen this Nuggets squad for a long time knows that it has a lot flaws when they are not clicking. Gordon can be inconsistent and forces shot, Jamal can be careless with the ball, the bench is deep but not as deep as the Heat. MPJ sometimes settle and hesitates (maybe because of injury fear). Their urgency and effort are not always there, there are tons of Malone interviews where he blasts them and questions their play. Miami takes, makes and is the better 3 point shooter team. Lastly, their defense is not elite, you can attack a lot these players.
The heat is playing 10 man rotation. If nuggets cant make adjustment like what the heat is doing, nuggets will suffer big time. I dont mind who gets the chip. Just give us amazing basketball.
Denver's other players work hard to cover Jokic on defense. They're probably going to leave Joker alone on switches a bit next game and see if they can cover the perimeter and for Miami to drive the ball or use Bam. That may give the other Nuggets players the energy they need to hit their shots and move without the ball.

Malone is right, but on the other hand, he used only 8 players, when he has 15 in the roster. How about using 1 or 2 of the other 7, and give them just a handful of minutes, to surprise Miami?
