Off topic kind of, and I truly don’t want to speak it into existence because I love Clint, but this may be the year we truly start seeing him slow down. He’s been less and less impactful each season since he’s been here.
He was absolutely incredible his first year here. If I recall correctly he had an injury right at the end of that season, but still played in the playoffs and played decently. He hasn’t really looked look the same since then.
We should absolutely sell high on him to a team like Dallas, or contenders who’d like a slight upgrade at center like LAC (Zubac is very solid, would love him behind OO), or Phoenix who’d love a low usage defensive center to clean the glass that isn’t Javale McGee-esque in terms of confidence. It’s just proper asset management. Even if OO isn’t 100% ready (foul rate is worrisome) he needs his chance
Capela only plays 26 mins a game. If he played 30-32 like most starting C’s do, he would get that #. Just saying.
