it would be such a raptors thing to do for them to take all this time only to hire sergio scariolo so pretty much an inside hire once again. front office is legit scared of making moves i just don’t get it.
Just a guess but they must be using/trying a hiring process that no other team is using or does all of this not seem odd? Sergio literally was our coach for two years, how come he needs several interviews including an in person one reported?
The key word here is “Doug Smith”. A guy who has zero sources.

One thing I don’t think most of y’all realize is that this is one of the best opportunities to get as many free scouting reports as possible for a team. The idea is you interview as many candidates as possible, getting their opinion on which direction they think the team should go, opinions on players, etc. It might seem dumb but it’s actually a thing & quite smart!
