Nikola Jokic and Denver are too big for Miami | NBA Finals Game 1 analysis

How did the Denver Nuggets dominate Game 1 of the NBA Finals vs. the Miami Heat? How did Nikola Jokic end up with so many assists? Why was Aaron Gordon on an early scoring spree? This film room study details Denver’s size advantage on both ends of the court, and how they were able to use cross matches in transition to create mismatches and create easy offense.

  1. Great breakdown, never felt this confident about my team in the championship! Nuggets in 4/5. Miami just cant consistently answer them on offense and Denver is going to keep getting quality shots/match ups. Lets go Nuggets baby!!!!

  2. Such beautiful, smart basketball so different from watching the Bucks and Philly play their bigs never post even when they had considerable size advantages. Denver makes you pay. Whereas a lot of teams now are pace and space with smaller players. Let’s see what kind of adjustments both teams make. It seems like they could put Joker in a pick n roll scenario.🤔🤔🤔🤔

  3. Waiting for your game 2 analysis. Hopefully it isn’t another one sided one

  4. Gm2. Butler shoots poorly. 7-19. Heat win …on the road at that. Heat play way over their individual abilities…again. What they do is hard to comprehend. What a gutsy prepared team & cerebral coaching staff. Nuggets are better & yet heat make it a series. Impressive shi.

  5. Can’t wait for the “How the Miami Heat dismantled a bigger opponent” video.

  6. But if they can knock down 'em treyys unlike game 1, it won't matter anymore. 🙌

  7. Game two shows if the Heat have enough perimeter shooting uncontested they will win. Denver needs to tighten up their defense in that regards 🙏

  8. I have never seen a player that BIG without a muscle on his body. Like none. He looks like he just walked out of a Hardees. I remember saying Shaq was out of shape for three years, but if you look at him, even in the worst years, his arms were RIPPED. Anyone want to tell this guy he's a professional basketball player and hit a gym?

Good call though. They may also be too fat for them, game 2 in Denver, it's tied. Size only helps early on to gain momentum and take out a team in a short series. As the series wears on, those in bad shape will fade like Luka. In a long series, Miami will win. So it's very important to put the burgers down and maybe weight lift here. What the hell is wrong with these kids man?

  9. Outside of Gordon they have no legit rim protection. Nikola has cinderblock feet and Bam is going to continue feasting on PnRs. Plus Denver ain't about that Gritty style of play.

  10. Too big, huh? Spoelstra can scheme around any perceived disadvantage, as is evidenced by game two. I hope they keep underestimating the Heat's ability to adjust.

  11. Bullshit the 3pt shot makes tactics meaningless! 10th man on bench can shoot 35-40! made the game stupid. They all travel, palm, up and down, 3 seconds, etc.
