All I see in mock trades is Simmons, Little, Johnson, and the third pick for Siakim. Simmons might be a decent scorer but that is it. He was the worst defender last year in the league. Looking at Portland's roster Skylar Mays is the guy that piques my interest. Man averaged 15+ ppg and 8+assists in his second year in the league coming off the bench. I get it has to be Simmons for salary but Mays has to be there instead of Johnson or Little.

A few years ago when cj was still on the team, the blazers lost to denver in the first round without their starting backcourt and I believe Dame had 50 in one or two games in that series. Dame wants to win in portland but that would have been the time to be like I love portland but its time to move on if I really want to win. Portland is closer to a rebuild with Dame then competing for a championship with him. That star player they trying to get to give him help is not going to be enough as we've seen with phoneix etc. There sre at lesst 7 or 8 teams better then them currently it aint no surprise they were in the lottery. That roster needs a lot more than that.
The problem is Portland just isn’t good enough. There’s no logical move for that 3rd pick trade that makes them a top 3 let alone top 5 team in the west.
Dame is gonna keep dropping these hints and passive aggressive statements knowing his time in Portland should be up if he REALLY wants to win
Dame wants to get traded with out asking for a trade so he doesn’t look like a team hopper.
Great point about shot selection. About analytics saying the 3 is the best shot, but is it the best shot for the player? I've thought the same thing since they started jacking up threes from every position. I didn't like when other teams started copying Golden State. You were falling into Golden States' hands by doing so. No one was going to outshoot the two best 3 point shooters in the league. 😂
