ā€œQuietly circulatingā€means up to three white dudes on Twitter have suggested this in the past six years

  2. DanM142

Another guy that can’t play in the playoffs. But even older šŸ§

  3. BabaBrody

CP3 has said he wants to be close enough to see his family. Phoenix was a quick flight, can’t imagine he wants to live out here when he could just get waived.

  4. DemarcusLovin

this is horrendous. CP3 is so washed. Harden led the league in assists last year. The ONLY way i’d like CP is on a vet minimum to mentor Maxey, but this team is so fucked if they’re relying on CP to play more than 45 games next season.

Do I like it from a basketball perspective? No. BUT Chris Paulā€™s contract is non-guaranteed next year. We can waive him if heā€™s bad. If we give Harden the max or something close, which somebody will, weā€™re locked in for four years if he rapidly declines. This gives us an opportunity to more or less run it back without making a long term/potentially franchise dooming commitment to an aging vet.

I don’t know about CP3 but people’s heads are in the sand if they don’t think Harden to PHX has legs. If that’s his preferred destination they’ll figure out some way to get it done

  7. HoagieTwoFace

Are we getting picks? Otherwise fuck off. CP3 is washed

  8. Inner_Sun_750

Who cares what execs think unless their name is Daryl Morey

  9. boringreddituserid

I hear Jordan and Bird are available for less than max.

  10. TIandCAS

Harden is stuck between Houston and Philly so heā€™ll choose us and we will trade him for a 38 year old whoā€™s already more injury prone and worse than him? Clown shit, I seriously doubt Morey ever agrees to this cause Suns have no real assets to add on anyways

  11. FailureByDesign9

If I wasnā€™t an atheist I would be praying for this to come true right now lol

I can’t take this too seriously. Chris Paul can’t make it through the playoffs healthy…the team can’t have two players not capable of staying healthy during the playoffs. Just seems like a lot of speculation to me.

Edit: I would be interested in CP3 in a bench role. That could be pretty valuable for this team, for the right price.

  13. Forward42

Thereā€™s trust issues with CP3 and Morey going back to how that ended in Houstonā€¦.Iā€™d be surprised if that was water under the bridge today.
    But you never knowā€¦.

  14. TempleofSpringSnow

Yeah, Iā€™m still too hungover from the Boston series for this shit.

  15. jamalev

This is way too simple for Morey to actually entertain. I know he doesn’t have everyone’s trust in this sub right now, but one thing I give a ton of credit to Morey for is he gets very creative in his roster moves.

If Harden ends up leaving, I can 100% see a majority of people ending up saying “Great, now we’re gonna sign FVV or CP3” and Morey just pulls something out of left field, to which the sub goes “I actually really like this move as a Harden replacement”.

  16. golftroll

Why would Harden want to go back to KD? Makes no sense.

  17. eaglesphan1

If we sign and trade Harden for Chris Paul, that will actually be my breaking point with the franchise. Heā€™s 38 and has never won.

  18. YoImAli

Iā€™d cry if this happened. Please just bring Harden back

Who would we trade with Paul got cut

  21. averagebensimmons

The only execs talking about this work for the Phoenix Suns.

  22. EducationalStill3393

Harden + Tobi for CP3 + Ayton, send Ayton to a third team for a starting forward. The only way I would do it.
