Thunder & Nuggets Trade Draft Picks During NBA Finals

The Denver Nuggets are acquiring the least favorable of Oklahoma City’s first-round picks in 2024, the 37th pick in the 2023 draft and 2024 second-round pick for a protected 2029 first-round, sources tell ESPN. The Nuggets are trying to maximize their championship window and this deal gives them some additional chances at low-cost contracts and trade tools. For OKC, another first-round pick deep into the future.

  1. It can be finalized now because the trade doesn’t involve any players. Had it involved a player, it would take longer to finalize.

  2. i didnt even know that this was allowed thought you had to wait till the official start of the off season. 1:18 i should have just waited till the end of the video lol

  3. I like it and think it shows also many Thunder fans are wrong about them going to trade for disgruntled Stars from other teams. We possibly already have 4 max type of players already SGA, J Dub,Giddy and Chet gonna likely have to trade one of them too keep the tax bill down and afford depth players. I think Sam is doing the ultimate rebuild and will keep the draft aspect of it going even after we are contender's again just mostly keep piling picks up by trading our vets who either get beat out or we can not afford.

  4. The thunder don’t have the roster spots to take 3-4 kids every draft like they have been. All this does is kick the can down the road and gives them a shot to turn a late first round pick in the 20-30 range into a future potential lottery pick. There is virtually no down side for the thunder here
