Ayton and Paul for Turner and Hield. Chris Paul days are over. But he can still be a great mentor to Halliburton and might still have it to make them a playin team which will be great experience. Ayton is a young center who will be able to play his style of basketball with the pacers plus I believe this is where he wanted to go. Turner is a more defensive rim center that the suns desperately need, and Hield provides decent defense with great shooting which the suns clearly needed.
The Suns only scored 27 at the half last year in Game 7, not 37. Luka had 27 at the half as well.

Boy is most definitely not fine in the west. Denver is the best team remaining in the playoffs. LA fans think that just beating a Warriors team that has played like shit outside of their homecourt all season is confirmation enough for them to get to the finals. GSW fans think that superior playoff experience is all they need to oust the LA and the nuggets, when it’s obvious they’re not playing like last year at all. LA has their best chance to beat the nuggets by closing out tonight. Otherwise, Best of luck to whoever takes Game 7 cuz they’re gonna really need it by next Tuesday in Denver.

Suns are in trouble. They have a superstar in Booker, and a great player in KD(on the down side of his career). Ayton isn't a bad player, but is over paid for what he brings, especially in big games. Paul is washed, and cant be depended on. Suns bench in this series was non existent.
I dont think the suns are done, but they definitely need to make moves to add competent role players. KD and Booker needing to play 40 mins a game to get a win is a recipe for disaster.

Nicola Jokic has been the best player in the playoffs #1 in points + rebounds + assists. Nothing the Suns did would matter they went up against a much better team with home court advantage. Not better individual stars, but better team. The Nuggets have built around Jokic who's been the best player in the NBA the past 3 years and he's demonstrating it in these playoffs. Things may work against Jokic for a game, but he figures out how to defeat any defense over a 7 game span. He figured out Ayton 2 years ago. Suns need to chill before firing Monte Williams. After Nuggets win the NBA title this loss is not going to look as bad. The Suns were a flawed premise. The idea that 2 super-stars plus Ayton + CP3 = championship is just wrong. The idea that without defense or significant role players can stop the Nuggets offense is wrong. They went Teams that beat Denver do it with defense. The Wolves actually were a tougher Nuggets matchup because of length and athleticism. They're not doing it with role players like Warren & Biambo & Cam Payne & Jock Landale. They can re-build with good role players and will be a much more balanced team that has a chance to win the playoffs. I would anticipate a rebuilt Suns next season will be more of a threat in the Western Conference.
They lost because of Ayton. I don't think he even put any effort in guarding the Joker. The whole team knew but they cant point fingers at Ayton in order to preserve his trade value.

All im gonna say is if yoh think Ish Wainright on Jokic was your solution, you are in denial. Just admit Denver was better. Christian Braun was a great defender. Bruce Brown is a Hooper. They are better schemed, better coached, more talented and just better. Maybe with more depth you'll have a ahot next year, but Cam Payne had 30. What more can you ask an other the do? You got outplayed. There's a lot of problems with this team and you traded your future for a 35 year old suoer star who got locked down by Aaron Gordon. Like….Suns didnt have a chance in this series regardless of your view on it.

As a Nuggets fan, I low key feel bad for the Bucks and Suns coaches’ and players’ jobs being on the line for “choking.” It’s not that they are bad necessarily, but that Denver is that fkn GOOD! They are taking souls and I think it’s gonna take a while (maybe a generation or two) before people look back and realize how incredible this team is. KD wasn’t being flattering toward the Nuggets with his, “Am I surprised?!” and other conciliatory comments towards the Nuggets. He just understands what they were up against.
I thought the Suns played as hard as they possibly could and just broke when reality set in that trying to chop off the head of the beast only grew more.
