Fred Vanvleet To Leave The Toronto Raptors In Free Agency?

I will be discussing the latest news surrounding the Toronto Raptors and news came out that Fred Vanvleet who has a player option is likely to opt out and leave the Raptors in free agency. I will be taking a lot at some teams linked to Fred and what the Raptors can get in return for sign and trade deals!

  1. FVV is wanting too much money and years on a contract ; they need to change their offense because they stalled too often. They need to move on from FVV in some way. Bringing him back would be a step back when they are trying to move forward. Yes , I know he can shoot the 3's but he wasn't efficient in his shooting.

  2. Championship that we barley won. Win is a win but you can't win NBA without constancy from at least 2 players and rest of the team chipping in. Hopefully Darko can get rid of all these Masai players he thought they were gonna be the championship contenders

  3. Disappointing how a lot of fans would rather see the Raptors languish at the cellar instead of giving Fred his asking price.

  4. Good on the Raps on not overpaying, the fact he wants more than Brunson is crazy…man presents himself as a team guy but in reality he was always more concerned with his bag. Raps believed and developed him but he doesn't seem intrested in doing them any favors(thanks Kyle Lowry)The sad part would be losing him for nothing, and if Raps can pull off a sign and trade for a useful player would be great. At least get something for one of Gary or Fred.

  5. What a mess, FVV has got to go, Trent has got to go "Mr.-invisable in the playoffs "
If you trade the do it for an expiring contract and a draft pick,

  6. Toronto has no need of Caruso and would be much better served by staying on the Bulls if they do in fact run it back. Chicago will need all the defense it can possibly get.

Ball, Williams & White (S&T) for FVV, Boucher, Porter/Precious or something like that. Bulls fans will say this is too much but if Toronto is going to take $40M of dead salary, they should be compensated for that as well in addition to sending FVV. Here, they also get some size (which they desperately need) in exchange for White, who they can't keep anyway if they plan on extending Ayo.

  7. Phoenix would seem as the favorite to get Fred. Would be nice a courtesy for Fred to leave on good terms(a la Kyle Lowery route via sign and trade) Suns don't have much but if they could scoop any of the guys that the Raps had before like, Wainwright or preferably Cam Payne. Even Saben Lee😂😂

  8. I understand you don't want to let Fred walk. Consider how difficult it has been to get rid of overpaid players. In a sign and trade, we're likely picking up another undesirable contract to make the money match with FVV. We're probably filling up 2 extra rosters spots with players who are overpaid or not part of our future plans. Would you really rather have Garret Temple play minutes over someone like Banton?

  9. Sign and trade is unlikely to happen. Tired of hearing about these trades that will never happen.
