I feel like Nurk, skill wise, has little difference from Ayton.
I know that will upset some of you but I dont think we would really be upgrading much but paying more.
Maybe a change of scenery for Ayton would do him wonders. Dunno.
Our efforts should be on an SG, maybe PF, and some depth.

blazers need to pick up an actual back up for Nurk. Drew is fine as the third guy. Unless they pick someone that can actually fill in for Nurk when he’s inevitably out for 35 games next season, there’s not much reason to be encouraged imo
I like Ayton but not or 35 a year. He literally makes twice as much as Nurk. He’s a better defender, but 35 a year.
I like Ayton fine and dandy but I’m glad we aren’t pursuing him. I just assume it would cost too much to get him and the difference between him and Nurk wouldn’t be enough.
According to Bill Oram, they might be involved in an Ayton trade, though—but not with him ending up in Portland.
Not too surprising. We’re not going to be able to move Nurk so it doesn’t make much sense getting a C on a huge contract

He’s a great Rebounder and Defender. He’s cheap(Nurk + 23).

Ayton has had his chances to show us another gear and hasn’t done it.

The only way I want Ayton is if we blow it up and somehow do a S&T of Grant for Ayton. A core of Scoot/Sharpe/?/?/Ayton is kinda fun
Good ayton isn’t that huge of an upgrade to justify that terrible contract.
