  1. I hope Lakers are scouting overseas a lot more – Europe, South America, Australia, Africa

  2. I never think 3-star model is very cost effective. But it all comes to price, when you talk about 3 star in this context, you're referring to 3 max contract. Remember the time Steph Curry only take a little bit over 10 million, draymond Green took a minimum contract?

  3. I think we will learn very fast if the Lakers are equipped to adapt by what they do with Rui and DLo. Those both are guys that need to get squeezed on this new CBA. My max on DLo is 20 and on Rui is 12-13.

But like you said the realest winners will be the teams that can find and develop guys. We have it but need to do better still with roster building.

  4. I don't buy this. Lakers didn't create this in 2020… You mentioned Celtics in 08 but then you overlooked Kobe and Pau with a deep team. You then mentioned the Heat but then overlooked Spurs and Warriors who have always been deep. The deep team has always been a thing for dynastys. LeBron just brought the chase a ring model after he couldnt get through Celts

  5. Well you cant win with aging or injury prone Super Stars. It's a young mans league

  6. I think the chucking up 3s era is coming to an end too. It’s about size and dogs. Lakers have both, we just need a little more size.

  7. Young talent is the key to managing the salary cap!! Let’s stop trading our picks!!

  8. I think this also affects the way drafts are gonna go. Teams are gonna start drafting more NBA ready players that can contribute right away rather than players they can build over the years because of the new CBA agreement

  9. Rui AR15 is 2 key players we must keep AD is very talented but he needs to realize this is his team he needs to play like it on a consistent basis if lakers are not sold in it we need to move him for another player who is an allstar ready to move in a superstar

  10. In my opinion, the 2-star model was built more/less in 2010 with Pau and Kobe. Sure Bynum and Artest were there, but they weren't superstars the way Kobe and Pau were. It was a championship team built on two stars with great role players and depth. However, most of the league was still set on the 3-star model for the next decade. Now, it's being cemented in largely by the new CBA.

  11. You sound out of touch. None of this matters if Anthony Davis is your star and can’t stay healthy. Both of the nuggets stars are young and stayed healthy . That’s the difference

  12. Denver is not that great of a team, they got Jokic who is the best player in the league and Murray a really good shooting guard but after that just really good role players, the teams they beat were not great at all just solid teams, the T’Wolves, Suns, Lakers and Heat none of theses teams are great and I am a Laker fan, I believe if the Lakers had a good 3 point shooter and maybe Dwight Howard they would of beaten Denver 😂😆🤩

  13. I could not agree more about fixing it to help teams that draft and develop guys… reward that.

  14. 1 of two things are going to happen.
Either max deals will become less popular or more likely the B tier players will play overseas increasingly every year

  15. Btw, as a high school history teacher, thanks for bringing up the historical context, especially the American founding era. Nice job fitting that in. 👍👍👍

  16. Also the talent in the nba is crazy! Every nba team is loaded with talent. Its hard to win in the nba right now

  17. What you do is when your draft a rookie, allow him to play the first year he's drafted. The following year he could be a great role player or an elite role player his second. IE Cole Swider and Max Christi.
