Really hope he plays for us next season. All we need him to do is run to the corner and drill 3s.
Gallo is like the one player I’ve always wanted on the Celtics since he’s entered the league.
Really intrigued to see how he performs
Expected
The timing is good because it potentially unlocks some trade possibilities that would not have been available had he waited until the last minute
Though if we didn’t trade him, I’d be excited to see how he can lift our bench offense
Trade chip!!!!
Excited to finally watch him play.
Hope he’s healthy. Would’ve been a really useful piece last year.
Really stoked for him to suit up.
Especially since he was already a locker room presence and is familiar with Joe. This is just a natural next step
I get he’s a potential trade chip, but he really intrigues me as a bench scorer. A big wing who can knock down a three is something this team really needs. Someone who can spell the jays and actually get a bucket
Nice…. NOW they won’t crack under playoff defense
I prefer him staying this season, maybe sign and trade next year
Honestly I think its best we trade him. A 34 year old rotation player coming off a year long injury could be a disaster. Best if we package him and some other stuff in a deal to get another decent big
Dude hasn’t relied on athleticism for years. He can score, move the ball, and has size. If he can keep rehabbing so that he can become even a slightly below average defender, he could be a really useful piece for us moving forward. We need a non-star minutes eater we can depend on at the swing position to allow Tatum to sit occasionally.
But I totally get if he is involved in a trade to upgrade, as well. I just see him as more than a deep bench old injured vet.
Good news. I wouldn’t be at all upset with this team running it back with gallo. Their biggest issues aren’t roster construction, so even if the Cs have a quiet off-season, I wouldn’t mind in the least.
As he should have regardless of he can still play or not. Players should never turn down money unless they got a good (self serving) reason to.
