This day in Lakers history: June 12, 2002 (delayed) – The first and only Finals sweep in Laker history, as they finish off the Nets for a three-peat, with their final points scored by Mitch Richmond, of all people

That 3 peat was such a great time in my life. I’m also a Raider fan, so after a demoralizing season of NFL, I could always rely on my Lakers to bring bliss in my life back then.

But this was seriously the worst NBA Finals i’ve ever seen and I’ve gone back and watched them all since 1980 (the real birth of the NBA)

2002 finals was possibly less competitive than most 1 seed vs 8 seed first round matchups

  3. Ngl I kinda wish NBC air NBA again maybe they can in the future and start like right after the Super Bowl do like Primetime & Game of the Week/Sunday games
