  1. Historically, I don't recall any big men over 7'3 leading their teams to dynasty's. Manute Bol, Georg Muresean, Bhullar, etc.. Maybe, Marc Eaton, Rik Smits, Arvydas Sabonis?

  2. I think the question should be whether he can be "elite" at 2 or 3 facets of the game.

If hw can be elite at offensive efficiency, rebounding, and defense…that's enough for him to be a top 25 to top 5 player of all time.

  3. He'll be a role player if he stays healthy. Like any other overpaid player. He needs to put on some weight.

  4. i still don't know what to think about victor But the spurs will get the Best out of him

  5. I mean its not gonna be easy, people making it seem like anyone who is good in college, or who has proved themselves abroad in professional league are gonna own everyone in NBA. It takes time, effort, commitment, quality coaching staying injury free a lot of different variables. Wish him well but I wouldnt crown anyone if they have not won anything. Plus being that tall has its disadvantages.

  6. Dave had to fulfill his Navy stint before he could come to the league in '89 along with Sean Elliott.

  7. Wemby ain’t Duncan, Robinson, or Kawhi. I need to see something first. “Spurs culture” is Tim Duncan culture

  8. Luka was way more proven. Victor only played one season in the Euro league and his numbers were disappointing (6ppg). Luka won euro league champion chips before he entered the draft. A lot of upside but not nba ready yet.

  9. 2Raw, Spurs are back in business! Just unreal.

    1987 The Admiral
    1997 Timothy Theodore Duncan
    2023 Victor?

As a Spurs fan myself, I am just SHOCKED. All this tanking paid off. I am never a fan of doing this and I won't lie I wouldn't have gotten mad if the team selected fifth. Once it got to Top 3 I was like, "you have to be kidding me." I jumped out of my chair and scram. I couldn't help it. Spurs did it again. And then Nuggs won their first game pretty awesome night although I am very, very scared of game 2. Ham made that Rui adjustment, but anyways so happy for San Antonio. Unbelievable.

  10. I'm not gonna jump on the hype train just yet. Will his body hold up? Will he load manage himself into constant injuries? Do I even care about the NBA anymore?

I hope he has a great career. But I strongly suspect the games are being rigged. I'll be keeping a close eye on the Denver/LA series.

  11. Payment for Rapts ring. I always felt Spurs got Duncan for sending Rodman to help Bulls last 3 rings, & David Robinson for sending Mychal Thompson to help backup Kareem, & get Lakers more rings. But all Jordan did for nba, & nike, no repayment too draft Edwards, or Victor. Gave that man Lamelo, Adam Morrison, Kwame Brown, but never the #1 opportunity to draft a generational player, or sign one in free agency, because they gave him a charlotte franchise. 😂

  12. I am not impressed by all this hype. Let’s sit back and see how this all plays out. Remember when they hyped up Ben Simmons

  13. Big men his size and height. don’t last unless they are truly special and lucky. He won’t be a bust he will be a good player but he won’t come anywhere close to the hype people are expecting from him. At 7 ft 3 foot injures are a major concern.

I see scoot henderson having a better career.

  14. I’ve been ranting about how the Spurs should get him all year because they haven’t gotten a good pick in YEARS! Also it would’ve been terrible for the NBA if they didn’t send him to a place that is notorious for developing big men

  15. BTW, quiet as kept, the Spurs all-time team could just about compete with any team's all-time team. We've had some GREAT players on this franchise

  16. word is banana boy has foot issues. ala ming , walton sean bradley . ralph sampson who back in the 80s was hyped up as much as banana boy, 50 year old nba fan here ive seen um come and seen em go he_l i called the zion hype bullcrap years ago. gravity is death to tall players . few exceptions kareem, wilt akeem shaq, gilmore and a few others . jmop but i think hes too thin to play 82 games

  17. The Spurs better not screw this up!!!! 😤 My prayers have been answered! lol

  18. My opinion on Wemby. Similar to you. He'll be good… Hall of Fame good? That remains to be seen. I'll know more after his first 3-5 in the league. I have to see how his feet, his back, and his knees hold up to the rigors of NBA basketball.

See. That's ALWAYS the thing with these big guys. Especially 7'3" or taller. He's 7'4½" currently, and STILL GROWING. There's a high possibility that Wemby could reach a final height of 7'6," according to doctors. So, let's see how all these factors impact his development. He definitely has all the tools, if used properly, for being a possible once in a generation talent. At the very LEAST, he's a can't miss prospect.

  19. why can't players like him and holmgren put on some muscle… it looks so wrong having a physique like a twig

  20. Needs to gain a lil weight maybe 20pds, I just see him getting pushed around and avoiding the paint a lot p
