  1. Mavs go with Cason Wallace if Hendricks is off the board. Irving could be a sign trade this Summer? (Lively is a huge reach at 10, despite the need at Center)

  3. The lottery itself has become de-valued. The “one-and-done” initiative has completely contributed to this fact and the evidence is overwhelming. These 18 and 19 year olds with limited basketball experience and overall life skills has deemed the lottery a useless method to advance a franchise rapidly.

For players with 1 year of college you’re looking at on average 5 to 6 years of basketball development, acquiring emotional intelligence skills, and learning the right mix of nutritional and physical training habits to avoid injuries. Recent examples that come to mind are the growth of Jamal Murray and Markelle Fultz. In each case, it has taken nearly 7 years for them to become the product they were projected to become as high lottery choices.
