The Knicks Need To BREAK UP Randle And Barrett

After decades spent wandering the NBA wilderness, the New York Knicks and their long-suffering fans finally appear to be on the right track.

Taking the next step isn’t just about adding to the 47-win team that advanced to the second round of the 2023 playoffs. If New York truly has its eyes on a greater prize, it’s time to break-up the duo of Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

  1. If you think KAT would be better than Randle, and lead the Knicks deeper into the Playoffs, you really should get off your crack

  2. Keep Randle. Age 27 and age 22. You want to break them up.

You think $100 million is a team friendly contract for someone who wasn’t a starter previously in Brunson.

We lost game 1 vs Miami because of no Randle in the game.

  3. randle has been stopping rjs growth
he needs to go to the west besides him being a mental case

  4. Both of them got to go but nobody want them, who the hell want those overpaid and cant shoot.

  5. Many of the players that are (allegedly) available, arguably would result in worse issues than those present if he stayed. Stay patient for a player that actually changes the team's fortunes and focus on developing the roster.

  6. Kat solves none of their problems, he has no interior presence, his effort on both sides is even less consistent than randles, and the body language issue you mentioned is so much worse with kat.

  7. No need to trade either one. The problem is how they are being used. Thibodeau needs to start using Randle closer to the Basket. The same way Eric Spoelstra uses Bam Adebayo." Screens, Mid-range jumpers, post ups". He has no business standing outside jacking up 3s all game. He's a decent passer so have guys playing off of him differently. 🏀

  8. New York is think they can get a superstar so they gonna hold their pieces like they got attractive assets

  9. Randle is talented–But he is a shit teammate. Been in the league for a decade, not worth the effort in trying to change him at this point. Get him tf outta new york.

  10. I'd try to package Randle and some other assets to go for a swing in Zion

  11. To be fair. Your proposal doesn't make sense. They made playoffs with the current team. And you trade 2nd best player to get better as a team?

  12. They're probably gonna run it back again in 2023-24, which frankly is the right thing to do given they ranked as a top 5 NBA team from January 2023 onward (top 3 post-Hart trade). What every Knick "fan" and analyst ignores is the new CBA and the fact Randle makes pennies relative to other players out there. None of the stars on the market are even as good as Randle or take the Knicks to the next level. Trading Randle only makes sense for an upgrade that extends the Knicks' window like Zion, NOT players like the bloated contracted, often injured losers known as Zach Lavine, Bradley Beal, and KAT.

  13. The NY Knicks should keep RJ Barrett and trade Julius Randle for Zion Williamson. Give Barrett one more chance, he will play a lot better with his Duke buddy, Zion, if the NY Knicks get him.

  14. ZION WILLIAMSON FOR JULIES RANDLE ZION ALWAYS WANTED TO
BE WITH HIS MAIN BOY HIS ACE RJ BARRETT YOU HEARD THIS IS THE YEAR FOR THE KNICKS TO GET A STAR IN MSG

  15. I want Towns but he is overpaid and will crippled our flexibility and cap 🤦🏿‍♂️

  16. Well, after 20 years of misery, I am satisfied with being a solid team in the playoffs for the years to come. It cost a lot to have a TEAM.
