  1. He was cleared. he could've suited up for the play in game and before then even he said himself he'll play when he feel like Zion

  2. It's a shame that these people who don't even cover the Pelicans seem to know everything about what's going on with the team. Windhorst made himself look silly in that interview.

  3. I been saying this about ESPN and also inside the NBA they don't know our team and players … they always make us stories

  4. Hear me out… I love Z. I wish he could stay and magically get healthy. But In my opinion, Zion should be moved for the #2 pick for a the following reasons.

    1. Zions health issues are likely going to be an uphill climb, it will likely be another 2 or 3 seasons before we see him play 65-70 games IF he gets there. Quite frankly, NOLA isn't a market that can AFFORD (quite literally… ill get to that in a sec) to wait for their team to make playoff runs. Every year costs dollars, and if Zion is a total bust (which lets be honest, isn't a totally farfetched idea), its dollars that would result in a major blow to the financial situation of this fragile franchise.

    2. We aren't the 76'rs. Everyone loves to compare Joel w/ Zion as an example of what it could look like if Zion finds out what works for him. That is a STUPID argument for 2 main reasons. Firstly, Joel is primarily a center, who doesn't move near as athletically nor outputs near as much strain on his body in order to produce high levels of work. Zion was drafted with the expectation he would play as a high flying forward that couldn't be stopped. There is a reason those don't exists, let alone at Zions size. Its not a formula that works. Secondly, think about the franchises for a sec… Philly has much more money, is a larger franchise with a larger fan base. This means they don't bleed financially every season that Joel cant play because people still come to see the 76'rs play. New Orleans unfortunately doesn't have this luxury. the seats fill themselves at SKC when Zion is healthy, but when he's not? I've been many times, they don't,

    2. Injuries lead to frustration. The fan base is so divided among feelings for Zion that he feels out of place in NOLA to begin with. Combine the injury history with the out of NBA drama alongside his families frustration with the teams front office and you have a guy that just feels like he is taking up a slot that should be reserved for someone more in tune with the goals of the team. Not to mention this cant be good for Z's mental health either so I feel for the guy.

    3. Guys like Scoot can be backbones to a franchise. Listen, I get that Zions potential is sky high, but lets not sleep on the fact that very few guards in this league play like scoot at his size. We're talking a guy who resembles very similar styles of play to Russel Westbrook and Prime D-Rose. If we're lucky (and if you're on the Zion train make no mistake you are trying to be exactly that.. lucky..) than we could have a guy who shapes up to be our very own version of a star guard the likes of Lamelo or Ja.

    4. Mentorship is easier with Scoot. There cant be enough said about how players should be mentored by veterans. Hell its why some teams go out of their way to acquire and retain vets for locker room presence, culture, and mentorship. From the looks of it Zion has no interest in being mentored by anyone on the pels roster. Could be from an ego perspective, but likely also because his style of play doesn't resemble the likes of the vets on the team. HOWEVER, I could see Scoot learning quite a handful about shooting from depth and running the point from CJ. This would grant Scoot a nice window combined with our shooting coaching staff to develop into an even more serious threat.

Sorry for writing an essay, but I figured I'd share to full extent of my opinion for anyone that cares. Again, I must reiterate that I personally love Zion. I think his playstyle is phenomenal and when he's on the court there is no stopping him. I also think Scoot will NEVER get to that potential but at this point if charlotte is willing to trade for him this might be our best chance to cash in his value. The best kind of ability is availability. And frankly, the Pels don't have the time to wait and see if this works while paying millions of dollars a year to a player sitting on the bench.

Let me know what you think in reply's!

  5. I dont think jj told a lie. Zion is well known to keep to himself. And as the star player he should be reaching out to teammates

  6. If we're a healthy team & the whole organization can get on one page we can get to da finals & win it all,it's too much speculation going on & all this can cured with winning
