[Gozlan] The Clippers would need to send out $22.6M to match for Chris Paul. They have plenty of ways to get there with a combination of Eric Gordon, Marcus Morris, and Robert Covington, among others.

Just for the addition by subtraction alone I would trade CP for mook. Sorry to say it!

Give us a deal for KP. Make Chris a throw in and let us cut him.

Yeah the only way it’s worth it if KP is included

Imagine being Eric Gordon and getting traded away for Chris Paul twice

Russ is better and more important healthier than cp3 at this point in time, what a dumb move

Oof that injury report for next season gonna be 🔥

The fact we’d be giving up ANYTHING for CP3 is fucking insane.

I hate this team sometimes. What the actual fuck is going on.

If we’re running it back in 23-24 then our season already comes down to whether our injury prone stars can be healthy for the playoffs. Nothing else matters as much as Kawhi and PG being available.

CP3 is old and injury prone but would be a great starter to pair with PG and Kawhi. He also gives us a path to dump Marcus Morris. Westbrook has plenty left in the tank and would have a ton of value to help us win load management games during the regular season. And if we get neither player, we can run with Mann and Bones.

The only way this move makes sense if it clears the salaries of Gordon/Morris/Covington, and then the Clippers proceed to waive Chris Paul before his contract becomes fully guaranteed for 23-24. It also allows the Wizards to clear Gordon’s salary as his contract too isn’t guaranteed.

I’m struggling to see performance-wise why the Clippers would want CP3. I can only hope this is just salary maneuvering.
