Kawhi and PG are both wings. Zu is probably the best we can do at the center position, and he’s reliable, healthy and young. So really we just need a pointguard and a power-forward. LaVine is neither (even though he is obviously an amazing player). IMO we need to secure Westbrook – give the dude shares of the Clips, pay for his kid’s school, idk, just do more for him since we can’t pay him more – and then pursue a new pair of legs at the PF, someone that can shoot the 3 and grab some rebounds. I’d rather have a key role player at the 4 than a “3rd star”.
Isn’t it basically useless to have three stars that are being paid like three stars. You won’t have money left for a decent bench with the new cap, right?
This is more along the lines of what I was hoping the Clippers were doing. Salary maneuvering to make a better deal. Because there’s no way at this point in his career that CP3 represents a net positive for the team. Even if he’s addition by subtraction in moving Morris and others out, I don’t believe him being on the team brings any benefit.
No, LaVine isn’t a point guard (lol another scoring wing) but as Justin Russo points out he’s not a bad addition alongside of KL/PG.

Russ and a healthy PG or Kawhi and a better replacement for Morris or Batum is a good team. Russ and a healthy PG And Kahwhi is a top contender
Is LaVine a good defender?
I want the best for the bulls but man if y’all taking on Russ and lavine y’all aren’t gonna make it far, you’d be destroying the chemistry built up while waiting on pg and kawhi to just be available for once
