This is how you make a pick more valuable so it’s understandable. But also I think they’ll pick on Thursday so. Miller at 2 seems media fabricated and I think scoot will be picked by Charlotte and if that happens our pick becomes far less valuable. But if we select Miller I won’t be mad.

I just want some actual news to drop at this point.
Obviously we are inquiring what deals can be made. As of now it seems like there are no deals worth trading a potential face of the franchise for the next decade. So we’re probably telling people we aren’t trading it. This may result in teams making a real offer or not. Either way we’re in a good spot.
This could be a smoke screen but hopefully it’s a sign that Cronin isn’t going to make a move just to make a move to appease Lillard. If he’s going to make the smart moves regardless of consequence then I applaud him.
Read between the lines. They’re being VERY active but they’re not blown away by the offers they’ve received for #3, and they’re shopping Ant and #23 (and maybe even future picks) (Windy, today) to improve the roster. To get whom? Possibly Pascal Siakam and/or OG.
The only other teams looking at Siakam are teams like the Warriors who are shopping Poole, Kuminga and Moody and a single first.
To that I say, good f’n luck. Find a new trade partner.

Good. Pick the best player available at number 3 and build from there. Do not trade high draft picks for incomplete players that are already the player they are going to be.
