    I’d take him for the mid level exception if available. CP3 can still be a valuable piece to a championship team.

    If he does get waived and wants to sign with us, there is no point for him to sign for any more than the minimum. Whatever he signs to us for is going to get reduced from what he is already guaranteed after getting waived, so by asking for more, he is only hurting the team that signs him.

    That said, I can see Wizards being dumb enough to trade him even if they get absolute dog shit back, despite Chris Paul being only owed one year left on his contract. Which would probably take us out of the running.
