I will genuinely cry if we trade dame. There will be nothing left for me anymore.

  1. Are you a fan of the Blazers or just Dame? There will still be a team, one with exciting young players, and/or you can always root for Dame and his new team.

    Oakland As fan here.
    Could be worse…

  3. Dame and Portland is forever etched into the blazers franchise. That won’t change, but it’s time to turn the chapter imo

Love dame but I am a fan of the blazers first, it will hurt like hell but I’m loyal to the jersey

  5. FakeFan07

If Dame gets moved and this organization never really gave him a chance and sold the farm to get him a team, man idk.. top 75 player. Arguably best player in franchise history.. all wasted..

  6. DaddyRobotPNW

Blazers fan first. Getting rid of Jody is way more important than keeping vs trading Dame.

  7. AcrobaticMango3086

He’s such a fucking legend though, would be hard to watch him in a different jersey

A tad bit dramatic. Dame has had a lot of amazing moments with the blazers. Put blazers back on the map. He has been a blazer a lot longer than the average player stays at a team. I hope he decides to stay, but I wish him well if he doesn’t.

For anyone that’s a Blazers fan first they can take solace knowing keeping the pick is the objectively correct roster building move.

For anyone that’s a Dame fan first they can just watch him on his new team.

Nothing left for you? Sharpe + Ant + 3rd pick + Dame’s haul, plus getting to see Dame on a team that actually has a nonzero chance of competing for a title? That’s not enough for you? Cause that’s really the only good outcome I see for this offseason.

It’s going to be depressing to watch Dame retire here without ever having a serious chance in the playoffs. He is way too fucking good of a player to not be chasing a ring every year.

if/when it happens, i think we’ll all cry, Dame included. this whole thing is just fuckin sad

I felt roughly this way when we traded Sheed. I remember exactly where I was when I found out. It was like getting punched in the gut. I paced around my apartment all evening.

  13. Jollyhat

Having lost Matthew’s, Batam, Aldridge and Rolo also hurt. But change is inevitable. There is no permanence

  14. -TheDangerZone

Same. Im holding out hope Dame gets his Dirk championship. Him leading a parade would bring tears to my eyes.

Scoot is as good as dame

Draft Scoot, trade dame for a huge load of assets and the Blazers will be better then ever in four years

Trade the 3rd pick for an aging semi star that makes 25m a year and the blazers will be in purgatory for another 10 years

  16. Strange_Law7000

OP is scheduled to cry no matter what happens

  17. Dame time was never going to last forever. Time waits for no man.

The ONLY positive thing that would come out of it for me is possibly lower ticket prices so I can take my kid to a game in the 100-lvl for the first time in her life.

  19. Cookfighters

We need to trade him for more picks or another borderline young star player so we can rebuild with young potential peices. Having the 3rd pick in this years draft gives us a huge opportunity to build a good young core. I love dame but I feel that trading is the best thing.

Calm down. He’s a professional athlete.
