[Shams] Sources: Wizards, Celtics and Clippers are in strong talks on a trade that would send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, Marcus Morris and draft compensation to Washington and Malcolm Brogdon to Los Angeles. Sides are still working through details and Porzingis’ $36M player option.

Holy shit it’s happening so fast.

Thank you Clips for coming through as the 3rd team, that’s huge.

  2. Drizzlybear0

This is a straight up win for everyone. Clippers get their PG, we get a big who can stretch the floor and Wizards move off of two contracts and get picks.

  3. skoowoowoo

I’m happy Malcolm goes to a decent team. Would suck to see him stuck on the Wizards honestly.

  4. bourgewonsie

Does anyone know how those Porzingis rape allegations ended up playing out a few years back?

EDIT: Sheesh these downvotes y’all I’m just asking a question 🤡🤡 y’all some sorry ass bitches for trying to even ignore the possibility that he might be a rapist

  5. BRFCarter

Yo Brad is kinda goated. This man is not playing any games, he trying to win.

  6. Ramblinwreck93

Makes all kinds of sense for everyone involved.

  7. ChipotleGuacamole

Will be fun to watch him for those 25 games

  8. MehFrosty

Jesus I thought that said marcus smart and almost died

WHO DA FUCK IS TINGUS PINGUS?!

    (big fan of this move)

We got Brogdon for a big bag of chips.

And it looks like we’re about to get Kristaps for a bag of chips.

He’s a perfect third star for these guys. Absolutely love it.

So does this mean Pritchard stays and plays?

  12. luvvdmycat

Can Zinger stay on the court?

I like him as a player but his injury history. 🤕

  13. al-amriki1

Wow a starting five that includes the Jays and KP is gonna be hard to beat

  14. Ramblinwreck93

FYI, our 2022-23 tax bill already is huge, so if the deal is completed before the new league year, I’d guess we’ll match salaries pretty closely. Technically all we’d have to send out is Brogdon + $4.4M in other player salaries, but straight-up matching would be $11.2M.

Rob, Porzingis, Tatum, Jaylen, Smart/White. Good luck.

  16. AngelofVerdun

White/Brown/Tatum/R. William/Porzingis…that is a big scary fucking lineup.

  17. Sm0k3inth3tr33s

Fuck, I got ahead of myself and read Marcus and nearly shit my pants. KP for Brogdon? Yes please! I love Malc but that’s a no-brainer if you ask me.

  18. NotFlipkid

Spiderman meme with Rob and Porzingis who gets injured first

  19. SameOldiesSong

If Brogdon goes, maybe that frees up real minutes for Pritchard and we don’t trade him?

  20. Something something can’t have 3 max guys, can’t do it, don’t even think about it!! Good thing Brad is smarter

  21. He’s played 65+ games in 3/8 NBA seasons (first two and last one).

    Edit: 8 seasons, not 10

If the trade gets finalized and Brogdon is sent to the Clippers does this mean that Washington will buy out Chris Paul? That would at least open up the possibility of him signing with us at the veteran minimum/tax payer MLE if he wants his best shot at a title.

I would love to be proven wrong, but I don’t know why I can’t shake the feeling I got from watching him in Dallas. Sure, different systems, longer removed from injury. I love him as a PnR option with the Jays, and he did have a great year with the Wizards albeit with higher usage. Is he going to fit with us schematically? And are we going to find out at the worst time during the playoffs? I just don’t know. But if Brad thinks this is the right move, then I’m really excited to see how this changes our dynamic.

  24. NovaxRangerx

Celtics Fans: Thank y’all for providing the opportunity to get Marcus Morris off my team. Hope Porzingus and Brogdon cna stay healthy for the both of us

  25. Willis050

Fucking give it to me. Perfect in the J’s timeline. Can defend the rim and shoot? Yeah, I’m all in because we need to capitalize before we look up in 5 years and haven’t won a title

  26. Shovelman2001

Part of me feels bad for Broggy. Dude came in and was nothing but a positive for us. Took a role player position with open arms despite being more talented than that, and played far more games than we expected him to. I hate how quick everyone has been eager to send him off, when he exceeded every expectation we had out of him. I get it’s business, but I truly think our current roster should be the favorite to win the Championship. At the end of the day, luck has an effect on the playoff result, and we were unlucky. I think we beat that Nuggets team in a 7 game series on talent alone. No reason to rock the boat until it’s clear that we actually need to.

  27. FeelsBadMan200

Thats a panic trade, we’re losing brogdon, the 6th man of the year, for a very injury prone 4 who cant play 5

  28. If this goes through, Stevens just turned a first round pick, Nesmith and salary filler into Porzingis (who would’ve played 72 games this year if not for the team tanking)

Highlights of him torching us 2 months ago:
