If Ed Rogers gets more power… this front office might just be on the hot seat

So I can buy 25% of the Raptors and Leafs both, or I can use that money and get a small, old, no-driveway, semi-detached home in Toronto?

It’s interesting that it’s not disclosed how much of his 25% he’s looking to sell. I wonder if its a small amount to establish market value.

Larry was the face of our ownership. Was also the Chair of the NBA Board of Governors. We just went from 2/3 corporate ownership to 100%.

We still don’t have a permanent CEO at MLSE just an interim one. Definently some uncertainty with our ownership at multiple fronts.

Edit: Looks like just a share. Though we don’t know the amount Larry’s selling.

Larry tannebaum selling his stake is not good news at all lol actually a little concerning

Reminder that Ed Rogers wanted Masai gone but Larry Tanenbaum stepped in and stopped that.

Just to give an idea of what kind of clown things our ownership will do with Larry gone.

  7. as long as Ed Rogers doesn’t have any significant decision making powers, OK.

His fragile ego will sink us all.

Anyone want to chip in 7.99 billion and share the stake? We can run the team based on polls on this sub until we bankrupt the team

Great. Both Rogers and Bell have a long history of making excellent business decisions and haven’t totally destroyed everything they’ve touched over the past 2 decades…/s

Edit: be prepared for them to downsize the team from its current 6’9” players to a more affordable group in the midget range.

I’m not at all a fan of Larry T selling 25% of his share. That’s not good for the Raptors.

  11. Reminder what happened 1-2 years ago.

The sources said some time after the meeting, Rogers called Ujiri and told him he wasn’t worth the money he was being paid. The NBA source said the call left Ujiri feeling so angry and disrespected by Rogers that he considered taking a year off as president of the Raptors.
