Looking at players like Mikal Bridges, Draymond Green and OG Anunoby, those guys didn’t take big leaps until year 3…. Ziaire Williams is heading into year 3. Maybe this is the season that he takes that big leap for the Grizzlies

That’s why im fine letting him get that starting SF, of course he got to earn it but i still believe he can be a solid starter.

Brandon Ingram didn’t start off too good either, he has what it takes to be that guy for us!

Maaaaybe. At the same time, he might be a means to recapture some picks

I’m gonna keep repeating this until it’s common knowledge among grizz fans. Zaire most likely had Osgood-Schlatter disease hit him hard last year so he was injured. Lots of reports point towards this also pointed towards a growth spurt. Those things go hand in hand.

My personal experience with this around 11th grade was pain to the point I couldn’t get out of bed many days after doing sports. I even got a wheelchair for a few months when it was at its peak for days after tough practices or games. It’s no joke it sucks and you feel like your athleticism is gone. Good side is I grew 3 inches.

  5. Sure whatever. No pressure for him this year. Hopefully that helps him take a leap.

Not expecting much but sometimes finding the right role can help a player spring forward in development. Being the 7-8th guy could be great for him or Roddy could run circles around him.

The issue isn’t that he made a leap. Ziaire regressed last year. Mikal improved every year before starting crazy leaps.

He will definitely get some PT now. I say let him play and re evaluate in February

And a lot of players that didn’t take a leap until year 3 never ended up making it at all, so this is kind of a pointless argument. Hopefully he’s working his ass of this off-season, because we could really use a solid SF right now.

I hope he put it together. Same deal with Clark, came on strong then fell off year 2 but put it together in year 3. I’m pulling for Z
