This is very very risky. Would have preferred to use the pick to trade for an established young C or just take Whitmore, but if no trades were available then we just have to hope for the best I guess.
This is a very good pick for you guys. Should be a high floor guy with some upside if the shot ever comes around. Cam apparently has a knee issue which is why teams are passing on him.

We lost the Bertans contract, and got a center that was projected in the top 10 anyway. I’m happy.
Grading our draft so far as A-. Wish we got Jarace Walker but that’s just luck he didn’t fall.
I honestly never thought of the scenario of trading down to Orlando or OKC to make a massive trade exception with Bertans. But that’s a really smart move and it’s something only FOs can cook up because they know way more than us about who is gonna take who.
When Whitmore or Lively were still on the board around pick 11, it all made sense.
