They wanted the shooter will be interesting to see if he pans out

  2. YeezyYeezyUp2NoGood

He’s a sniper from 3. Other than that, idk lol

  3. Wander715

This guy will be perfect with Jokic. Booth continues to be awesome at drafting.

  4. Ihateredditalot88

Can never have too many 3 point shooters.

  5. BosaDeezNuts

I am a huge zags fan. This dude is a stud and an absolute sharpshooter. I wanted him the entire way

  6. landlion35

I have no idea who this is but I am sure he will be great!

  7. skiingbeing

Three ball yes, but great cutter. Jokic loves him some cutters.

  8. greenwhitehell

Denver was starting to become thin on 3pt shooting from non-starters, so this makes sense if he is a sniper

  9. Portaben

need shooting off the bench, like this idea!

  10. Mile_High_Man

LFG we got ourselves a SNIPER 🕶

  11. HotKarl_69

Love this pick. I wanted him or Jaquez (and whitmore when he was dropping)

  12. Technical_Towel_990

Him braun and Watson compliment each other well I feel like

  13. BRAX7ON

Player comparison is Jordan Poole. I love Poole’s game, and I like the comparison, at 6’7” he is a fantastic offensive weapon, if a bit sloppy with the ball. Cannot wait to see him develop and take the next step

    His draft profile:

Has good size for the wing position

Shoots the ball well – has good form and a clean follow through

Gets good elevation on his jumper and has a quick release

Projects as a high level three point shooter

    Has a quick release

Has the size and strength to make plays in the lane – rebounds the ball well on both ends of the floor

Changes ends well and can lead the fast break and handle in the open court

Has good vision as a passer

Can be a go-to scorer on occasion

Very active defender who can pressure the ball

Can be sloppy with the dribble and needs to tighten up his handles

Doesn’t have much of left hand yet

  14. The-Hand-of-Midas

Booth is smarter than me. Yay!

  15. OUEngineer17

An elite shooter with decent size? Love it.

  16. JadeandCobalt

Analysts seem to agree his main weakness is defense. He seems very solid otherwise; hopefully he improves on defense since we need everyone to contribute defensively

  17. Knowitmall

    They “are” drafting him?

Pretty sure we gotta wait and see….

  18. huskadeez

Underwhelming pick to say the least . I’ve watched this guy play a ton. I think his only skill is shooting the 3. Has no handle. D is average, but has length.

  19. # Julian Strawther – SF – 29th pick

    Pros:

    * **Body & Athleticism** – Solid wing measurements, 8’9 standing reach.
    * **Offense** – Elite shooting & touch. Pure shotmaker. Made 42% of his 95 attempted NBA-range jumpers beyond 25ft. Great looking shot & mechanics. Moves well off-ball. Flies off screening actions at a high level. Is great at aligning his body shooting off movement. Cooks off pindowns. Can make shots coming into them from both sides (unlike Jamal Murray and his weird quirk). Loves the transition 3PT-er like Porta. Good driver, uses opponents closing out too heavily on his jumper. One of the best five floaters in the class (thanks). Decent finisher.
    * **Defense** – His contests aren’t bad if he’s there and he has the lenght and size to become passable on that end long-term if he improves. Blocks some shots, has some quick reflexes and is a **really good rebounder**.

    **Cons:**

    * **Body & Athleticism** – He isn’t a great athlete. Laterally nor vertically. Slow hips.
    * **Offense** – Limited to a straight-line driver and high level shooter. Can’t create in ISO, not a crazy ballhander. Not a ball screen creator. Not a high-level playmaker in general. Limited off the bounce. Not high-level vision. Negative AST/TOV despite not being really turnover prone.
    * **Defense** – Gets caught on pump fakes and driven by easily. High stance, struggles changing direction. Not great navigating screens, gets caught. Struggles off-ball. Can ball watch, lose focus and his man. Gets backdoored. Not projected to be a good backside defender or scrambler.

NBA Comps: Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Harris

Big board average is taken from his average big board position from these [9 big boards](https://nbadraftnetwork.com/consensus-big-board).

I like this pick! As an Arkansas fan I was hoping nick smith would be available as he began to drop but this is a nice piece off the bench

  21. wert17wert

nbadraftnet seems to be really high on him, even naming him a top 5 SF in the draft over likes of Jett Howard who went #11

  22. Like the pick but D will have to improve before he gets meaningful minutes.
