I’m a Blazer’s fan and I want Dame in Miami. I think we could get “probably” get a better package from maybe Brooklynn or something. But I think he would fit best and play best in Miami.
Side note: I don’t want Herro. Maybe include a third team like Orlando and get some more picks/assets
I think its a good pick. Its hard to hate any draft pick the Heat selects, cause they have a good track record. Im mostly intrigued to see him defensively. And this guys a legit scorer. Obviously not going to be a real option ahead of Herro, Bam, or Jimmy. But if his defense is good, we got a guy that could potentially FEAST from attacking closeouts. Which is a lot of what we need. Showed a lot of great isolation scoring too.
I didn't even bother catching up with draft prospects this year, but I've watched a bit of Jaime cause of the run UCLA had in 2021 and saw bits of him there and ever since. So it's nice to see someone I'm a little more familiar with. Im happy just to see how this plays out, hoping for a fun Summer League.
Heat should try to sign Naz Reid 1st or Christain Woods. Land Naz Reid Heat.
As for dame trade if they do it. Tyler Herro, kyle lowry, and 3 future 1st. If they want more sadly give Highsmith as a good option or Jaimi with then 2 1st picks also…which jaime(now portland) dont diserve cause the trade could have been made and they picked whoever at 18.

For me, Strus, Duncan, are too passive. They just wait at the corners for Jimmy to pass to them. Miami needs players like Jaquez who makes it hard for opponents to guard him since he's busy poking holes in their defense. But if Strus agrees to affordable salary (lower than Duncan's), I'd keep him.

There's a lot of good with this pick. A lot of the good, depends on how they utilize him. If they keep the roster the way it is, it will diminish the impact of this selection. They have 4-5 swing players already. I would hope they thin that out. Miami has a lot of redundancy in their roster. And, they still need effective size. They basically drafted Jimmy Butler….
