[Kevin O’Connor] I love what the Lakers did tonight. JHS can help short term and develop into an important post-LeBron piece. Lewis is great value at 40. Three good undrafted pickups, especially Castleton. Seems they have a good draft every single year.

Yep. This is an A draft rating. JHS is a lottery value at 17 and some folks even had Lewis in the mid-1st. Our 2-ways are guys that impressed at the G-League showcase. Even the camp invite Fudge is an athletic, defensive guy who kind of fits our developmental mold (Caruso and GP2 were athletic defensive guys).

Miles Turner and Buddy Hield would’ve helped more short term and long term. While everybody is praising this draft as a win, no matter how this kid turns out this year, we would’ve fared better if we traded this pick and #40/47 for win now-and-beyond stars.

this guy loved Killian Hayes number 1 in the 2020 draft said he had “all the tools”

nobody knows jack about what these guys will turn into the bottom line is Rookies won’t help you win a title and that SHOULD be the goal for the Lakers with 39 year old LeBron

The Lakers flat out wasted a huge asset that could have netted them a good starter level win now player who fit the roster

how can they treat LeBron like this……stop taking him for granted

Our ability to hit on draft picks is definitely the franchise’s most underrated ability. Only severe mistake in recent years was Lonzo over Tatum, which we can probably attribute to Magic and not the scouting department (and Lonzo was still excellent with the bulls).

Post-Lebron Lakers dont matter. We have him now who took us to the WCF. We need to win NOW.

When you look at what Phoenix did, what Memphis did, Denver being who they are, even Golden State, my estimate is Lakers not getting to the West Final with 39 year old LeBron and the 3 guard Ham offensive

AD is the now and the future. Lebron already has his foot out the door. Now I’m not saying we shouldn’t make win now moves, but we shouldnt throw everything away for Lebron when AD is the one who we need to commit to now

Love having a reason to get hype for summer league.
