He can definitely develop into a solid backup for Draymond. More offense, less defense, but a solid passer. And he is an active shot-blocker on defense and a decent defender overall, just not anywhere near Draymond’s level (yet!).
This pick at 57 is what turned the draft from a B- to an A+ for me, what a steal
Odd. When I expand the video to full screen, it plays for a few seconds, then the screen goes all black. Same on two different monitors.
IMO the favorable comp is Aaron Gordon
Dunleavy, Steph, Klay, now TJD… this team loves those son-of-NBA players
This is what I wanted to see. He can pass and has everything this team is looking for except an outside shot. They need a big though.
My concerns are….
His ball handling.
He has a crazy high dribble that is gonna get picked a ton. It seems like he might be able to fix this but I have never seen such a bad fundamentally flawed dribble style. He bounced up to his neck while standing straight up. And often.
His mobility.
He looks pretty slow footed and not terribly athletic. He has great quick post moves but he just has an incredibly slow first step and 2nd and 3rd too lol. He looks about as quick as Loon. Loon is a God though. So I’ll give him a break.
I hope these concerns aren’t going to look worse in the big league.
Thiis is the first thing I noticed watching his highlights. Great vision. Hopefully he’s the heir apparent to Draymond.
