The upshot of the “stand around and watch” offense is your rookies would have to really try to get lost in it.
“So OMax, what you do is you go stand in that corner, and if Luka passes you the ball, you shoot it”
Best course of action. We need high impactful defenders and, in the case of Lively, rebounders. As long as Lively can set a screen, he can find the floor often this year and OMax comes ready to guard a lot of NBA-tier players.
Wouldn’t be surprised if both are starting a playoff game in their rookie season due to their own merits.
Man I love the direction the franchise is going. Just Hope Kidd can get out of his own way this year.

Yeah I think Lively will have more problems on defense than on offense in his rookie year. Rookie center tend to get in foul trouble a lot. If our spacing is good offense won‘t be a big problem, just catch lobs from Luka and crash the board and it‘ll be fine.
We have immediate needs, these guys were drafted to contribute immediately
This is a refreshing change of philosophy it seems. These kids need experience in the show, G-league is not cutting it
Lively long, and Prosper.
If Kidd doesn’t play them, he should get fired
Sadly they’re probably already our two best defenders
