  1. If Portland was smart, they would do what you said, tell Dame, i think its best for all parties if we trade you. where would you like to possibly go, and we will try our best to make it happen. i dont know too much about Sharpe, but if you get Henderson, then who is playing the SG position? i think if Nurkic played more, they wouldnt be as bad, so i would keep Nurkic for now, he is only 28 yrs old. But i think a team Dame would want to go to is the Nets bc of Bridges, so obviously wouldnt be able to get Bridges in return, and Nets dont have too much draft capital anymore after the Harden debockle. So i dont see getting much from them. how about the Heat? well you said Tyler Herro, but idk about Duncan Robinson. so except for a lot of draft capital, idk? how about the NYK? that would make Stephen A happy. I guess maybe RJ Barrett, Quentin Grimes, Obi Toppin, and draft capital?

  2. We'll give Portland KAT and Rudy for that #3 pick. Gimme Scoot and Anthony Edwards with Jaden McDaniels. That is a tough young core there

  3. As a Raptors fan, I’m praying Portland keeps Dame. I want Sharpe in Toronto more than Simons or Scoot if I’m being honest but it seems like Portland doesn’t want to trade him. I’d gladly give up Siakam to get him but we’ll see if anything materializes. It’s looking like Portland’s future is likely dependent on New Orleans and Charlotte for now. If they make a deal involving Scoot for Zion or if Zion is taken off the trade market. It would be way better for Portland to trade Dame and focus on a rebuild but I want their young players out of there

  4. Literally all signs point to rebuild but The Blazers are delusional. I'm just curious who they're gonna spend that pick on.

  5. Wizards fan here, please trade us the #3 pick for Krystaps Porzingis! I've heard a few rumors they could do that I hope it's true, would be a great way to help us heal from the horrible Bradley Beal trade.

  6. Simons is definitely not untouchable lol. He's a good scorer and excellent 3pt shooter, but he's not star in making, I'd be shocked if Simons made 1 all star team in his career.

  7. When you said simons was untouchable but they might move sharpe I knew you didn’t know what you were talking about

  8. As a huge Blazers fan, part of me wants to see how good a rebuild could be, since we're in such a good position for one, but really I almost just want to keep Dame for the rest of his career just out of respect for his loyalty, whether we win a championship or not. I'm a Blazers fan first, so I normally would pick the franchise over any player, but Dame isn't just any player, he IS the Blazers right now and I think I'd rather risk losing with him just for that small chance to win with him, because that win would mean so much more.

  9. It's very unrealistic to catapult themselves into championship lvl because that usually requires years to build for (ex, any championship team) or at least 2 pillars to build around (ex, Lakers)

It's like betting a million in the lottery to win a billion where yeah you can win big, but if you can simply invest in it and get consistently more overtime, eventually reaching a billion, I rather do that then potentially losing all my money for a very small chance of hope.

  10. This like the 3rd yr in a row Portland been a lottery team 😂😂😂 dame is scared to become that villan or something Portland traded for traded away for soooo many players right in front of dames face while they stuff his pockets knowing they not going NOWHERE FAST IN THE WEST he likes getting played with 😂 that hush money from the owner is sweet dame will retire without a ring and that old addias commercial where he was tryna clown Reggie and Karl and webber them now he's gonna be the butt of the joke.

  11. I think you got it backwards- Sharpe is untouchable, Blazers are shopping Simons.
Besides his higher upside, there is no point in trading Sharpe on his rookie contract. It makes him meaningless for matching salary of incoming players.
The Blazers don't really want to trade Anfernee Simons either, but his is the only contract on the team capable of nearly matching an incoming star player. That, and his slight redundancy with Dame on the team.
Sharpe will not be traded for anything less than a top 7 player- Bron, Giannis, Embiid, etc.
A second comment: I really don't think there are any teams who want Dame and also have the assets needed. I'm not sure there's a worthwhile deal out there.

  12. Nuggets fan here but i love dame is so damn good. If we didnt have jamal he would be amzing with jokic probably unstoppable

  13. Perfect summary of their situation. At this rate by the time they finally decide to enter a rebuild Dame’s value will be significantly less than it is right now. There’s no realistic path that sets them as a contender any time soon without sacrificing their entire future. Much respect to dame for being so loyal, but he deserves to play for a contending team and get a ring

  14. nah, keep dame, keep sharpe, keep ant tho he is the only high salary player so it’s gonna be hard, trade #3

  15. I've been a blazers fan for most of my life and Dame is my all time favorite but at this point I think it's time to move on from Dame. There is no trade we can make that will be a needle mover. we're perfectly positioned for a full on rebuild. Even if we did trade the 3rd pick and Ant and/or Shaedon you're only getting a player that might make us slightly better but definitely not championship caliber and given Dames age and injury history you would be giving up the next 10 years of a franchise in exchange for 3-5 years of only being slightly better.

  16. The only trade that legitimately can put the blazers in situation where you make an honest run at a chip if everything fell right is if the raptors send you both OG AND Siakum

The issue is they’re going to ask for at least scoot and sharpe in return.

If you’re really going to go all in on dame you’re gonna have to mortgage your future completely. That’s the ugly trade off.

The raptors do this because scoot is special and sharpe has enormous potential. Both under team control for 7-8 years. Pair that with Scottie and you have something.

If you’re the blazers that’s your best chance. Because you need not just one all star caliber player but 2. And you’re lucky that you can keep Simons too. Unless they demand him too which i as the raptors would def ask for. Even if I as the raptors have to give up another asset for.

If you’re the raptors you sell the blazers on them having 3 borderline all stars and their superstar. And more specifically you may be able to get Simons too because OG is still in his mid 20s and Siakum isn’t even older than dame. So it’s not as all in as it seems. That’s how I’d sell it.

  17. I think that Scoot will go to the Hornets. So one option the Blazers should consider is a full reset. I would trade Damian and the #3 pick for young, talented players with great potential. Herro, Jovic, Mathurin, Haliburton, D. Murray and D. Hunter. I don't know if the teams would be willing to trade the players I mentioned. Nevertheless, with any of those players, the future seems to be a little brighter and more predictable.

  18. Blazers should trade the number three for Miles turner and 7 package 7 23 keon little and the center for miles bridges
    Dame
    Simons
    Bridges
    Grant
    Turner can do something fr

  19. The mutual loyalty between dame and the blazers has been nice to see but when you consider the fact the blazers roster needs time to mature, there's limited all star talent on the market, there is an in tact NBA championship team and a suns super-team in the making to contend with in the west, and dame only has a couple more peak performance seasons left, trading him to gear up for deep playoff runs 3-5 years from now is the much smarter move

  20. As far as trade comps, I think anything done before the CBA changes are kind of outdated at this point. No one is approaching roster building the same anymore. Picks are even more valuable now and being financially responsible is even more necessary.

I don't think Dame will go for as much as we've seen recently. Full disclosure, I'm a Miami fan but after watching Pat Riley's end-of-year news conference today, he seemed to cement Jimmy, Bam, and Tyler. He spoke of being more restrictive in trading picks than he has in the past.

My guess is Miami draw the line with Dame at expiring contracts and 3 1sts, this year, 2024, and 2026.

I know Portland fans won't like to see that and I'm sure that sounds cheap but frankly, Miami is. They got Jimmy 4 years ago for one 1st, Josh Richardson, and Hassan Whiteside.

  21. If the Blazers don't trade Dame now it will be a very foolish decision. Portland is ready for a rebuild and Dame will help them quicker by moving on to another team. We'll know their choice by who they draft or if they trade the pick on draft night.

  22. Jamal ( sorry for possible misspelling), ve been following you since the bulls central establishment, I admire the rapid growth u ve been able to achieve on both channels, and rightfully so. Love ur analysis, so I wonder what would you say to this three team trade :
Blazers : derozan, future pick from Huston, removal of protections on their own pick
    Huston : number 3 pick
Chicago: number 4 from Huston, bad contract of Nurkic, Nassir Little
Tried to consider the interests of all sides, but possibly blazers will be able to gain more

  23. Loyalty? Some other player was on a team for a long time and kept harping about "team loyalty". That player was BRADLEY BEAL. Loyalty' is a slogan to these clowns. Dame will split before July 9.

  24. Bill Walton is greatest Portland player. He won a tittle against Dr . J's Sixers with little help. Watch it.

  25. Portland need to look very closely who is available on the trade market, because no top level free agent will come willingly there (not even Kyrie Irving). Who can really help Dame and the Blazers to get over the hump? I mean the Bulls are shopping Zach Lavine, but even he has not done anything worth of note in Chicago other than a first round exit in 2022. The Blazers FO has to decide – either to move on from Dame and trade him before he inevetably declines, or sacrifice your entire future to satisfy Dame.

  26. I'm a big fan of Shaedon Sharpe. I think he could become a superstar player in the league. The dude reclassified in high school so this upcoming draft is technically the draft he should be in and he's already finished his rookie year and did a great job. Also if they draft Brandon Miller they will have two snipers to pair alongside Sharpe in Miller and Simons which will bring out the best in Sharpe moving forward. Stars need shooters around them and these guys can really shoot it. If they traded Dame maybe they could get a forth young piece and some picks. Then maybe another two years in the lottery building around these guys and they could have a really exciting team. I just cant see why you would throw away a bright future just so Dame can have a few playoff runs that wont go anywhere.

  27. Hey buddy remember when I sent u a message on bulls central and told you you should start nba content not just bulls?im happy u did and you your gna have great success happy u did it!

  28. I don't get the Dame hype. He gets all this praise for staying in a trash franchise where he knows there's zero chance of getting any solid free agents. He's been at his peak top 12 in the league and never even close to a threat for a championship. One of the most overrated players ever

  29. I think they’re rebuilding the team with or without Damian Lillard. Don’t really see the point in trading him unless he asks out. For all we know they could take a swing at Ingram or Zion, while keeping Sharpe. Until Lillard asks out that’s how it should be looked at.

  30. Unless the Blazers get 3 first round picks, trading Dame will be a failure. And unless they get a top 20 player (who actually laces up [I’m looking at you Zion]), they should just keep the 3rd pick. Play out this season, see what happens, and for from there.

  31. Here’s what I’ve noticed. Everyone who’s not a Blazers fan thinks shipping Dame is the right move. Who’s got the package to make that worth it? Miami? Give me a break.

  32. my man, i think bill walton and Clyde were better players than Dame. but you can put him as 3rd sure
