He doesn’t have any value so they probably won’t trade him, but I doubt he gets much playing time.

Cam isn’t very good. He can’t function unless he’s playing 100% ISO ball and freezing out teammates, and he doesn’t know when to use the gravity that he draws to make others better. His attitude is also highly questionable.
Guys like Cam are a dime a dozen and don’t last long in the NBA. The kid that we got from Duke will blow him out of the water when he’s ready.

I have the same jersey.
Cam’s an elite scorer already in the NBA and only 21.
I feel confident to say he’ll score 50 points in a game next season. He might even break the franchise record of 60 held by Ky and Deron.
He improved his 3 point % considerably between his first and second season. He’s had very limited minutes and HC JV doesn’t seem keen to play him or has him on the shortest leash never letting him play through his mistakes.
Cam’s career highlights are awesome for someone that has been messed around his first two seasons. The comeback and game winner against the Knicks in MSG, the game winner against the Spurs when KD was doubled, putting the team on his back against Indy when the vets rested and he got over 30. Who else on our team was capable of scoring those point? No-one!
The three consecutive 40+ point games for a 21 year old. Something only Iverson has achieved in the modern NBA.
I understand why some fans don’t like him. He doesn’t pass often enough and he hasn’t committed enough to playing D.
But Cam Thomas is already a three level scorer.
Sean Marks saw it and drafted him. KD saw it and mentored him. He was dapped up by PG and Kawhi after he put 40+ on them.
Watch various videos on YouTube that breakdown his various skills and technique. Cam spent a lot of his youth watching Kobe and copying his moves.
Cam Thomas is the real deal
Cam Thomas in his career has Lead EYBL in Scoring. All Time leading scorer at Oak Hill (where Carmelo Anthony also went to HS). Led all Freshman in NCAA scoring.

And here’s me sat in my Durant 7 jersey today…. luckily, in the UK, 99% of the people have no idea who he is or that he no longer plays for the nets.

I hope we do now

Why the hell did the Nets draft him if they aren’t going to develop him? It couldn’t have been a surprise to the Nets that he has work to do on the defensive end and on moving the ball but he is elite at something. Putting the ball in the hoop. Putting the ball in the hoop seems to be a team issue yet he languishes on the bench. This team is so infatuated with defense it totally forgets about offense. Our sets suck, we have no offensive identity and the ball constantly gets stuck and that’s when Cam is not even on the floor. Honestly it’s hard to watch at times.
