Please scoot Henderson is not a good shooter or a defender he averaged 3.4 turnovers it wouldn't have worked out with scoot and melo playing the same position

I wanted Scoot, for me the Hornets would make much more money selling Scoot merchandise even before he started playing, "Scoot Over" "Scoot Aside" "Scoot There it is" "Air Scoot"…whatever, he has a good name…. because of the buzz around him he also seems to be a more valuable player if the Hornets would decide to do a trade in the future.
In the end what the Hornets did was put a lot of pressure on Brandon Miller, and from this point forward his career will always be compared against Scoot's.

B- …kinda hard to flop the draft when you have 5 total picks 1 being pick 2….but I wanted scoot, 75% of the hornets fan base wanted scoot..I dont understand…It had to be Melo telling them not to pick scoot, because he felt threatened? Like a big part of basketball is entertainment, and fan service…Its not like we have been having a winning team so why didnt we select the clear best player/most fun to watch which was scoot, why didnt we atleast trade pick 2 to portland for pick 3 and assets??….If Melo continues to get hurt wtf we gonna do? How is Brandon miller even going to get play time? This tell me that terry is still going to be here for at least another year and that Oubre is gone sadly…Why didnt we trade up to grab cam whitmore who fell to like 21??? Its almost like teams don't like to work with us or talk with us, I don't really get it….Why didn't we make any side moves except getting fleeced by boston by giving up 2 picks to move up 2 spots? Scoot would be more exciting, but Miller has what teams are looking for, and he won't be put him in the pick-and-roll as a "small" the way Scoot would be. Plus we've seen players who don't shoot well get exposed by defenses and even lose confidence. So Miller was the safer pick. Small guys don't take teams to titles the way a 6'7" to 6'9 wings do in today's NBA. Welcome to Charlotte Brandon Miller!

To the Scoot Stan's, ask yourselves this: Take away his athleticism and what does he have left? Once D Rose had his athleticism taken, what did he have left? Luka is not athletic, but look at his career. Because he las a lasting skillset.
Scoot has injury issues already. And prematurely ended his G league time because of that. Is a turnover machine. Then, let's be honest, no 6'2" guard has ever led a team to a championship. Kyrie didn't do it pre LeBron and has since been a journeyman post LeBron.

#31 James Nnaji is a project. But he's a very young project at that. And maybe a decent backup to Mark Williams.
#41 pick Amari Bailey is a good backup to LaMelo Ball.
This draft class was deep. High on guards, low on Bigs/Centers.

Fact is we had the second lowest 3 point percentage in the leauge and lack height. So why would we pick the shorter worse shooter that plays the same position of our best player.
Here’s the thing…. Yes they already have a franchise PG and it was respectful to not draft another PG, but Scoot is the better than Miller in my opinion, and if he were to get drafted here, ultimately Lamelo just needed to show he’s the better player, which he is….I still think Scoot should’ve got drafted and Melo is one of my favorite players…I hope this ends up working out..
The only thing I like about this draft for us is the second round picks and the late first round. Y’all are being too damn nice, I’m sorry but the guy can’t dribble, too skinny, not really a great ball handler and can’t really create his own shot but whatever idc anymore

Ya'll act like Jordan did some Wolves or Wizards level BS. He made some misses (people were in on MKG when Davis wasn't available), but his ownership was a big improvement over Bob Johnson. Hornets name is back, they drafted Melo, Bridges, Kemba, Mark Williams, and a few picks maybe needed more opportunity like Malik Monk. Anyhow, as pissed as some of you are, give Miller a chance or else the rest of the league just sees shitty fans blaming a player that had no control over where he played.

Brandon Miller is a way better Pick, Player, and Upside than any Player in the Draft. I allstar/superstar potential no matter how the Hornets choose to play him.
I hate to say this, but as much as I liked scoot, drafting miller may be the best move as I have been thinking, playing him at the 4 may be the best idea for him.
Loved seeing NSJ showing emotions when he got picked. Drastic difference with bouknight’s reaction when he got picked at 11 vs NSJ’s late pick. It’s much simpler to teach players skills but much harder to teach them to care.

Brandon Miller was the best college player in the nation, the guy is full of accolades, roty will be another one.
Hornets could not lose, both are good prospects. If it was indeed a toss up, made sense to draft Miller given his shooting and position was a greater need and Scoot would only handcuff Lamelo at PG at times.

Everyone keeps talking about scoots mentality. My question is mentality to do what? He won nothing in the G league 2 years , his turnovers Over 3 a game, 3 point shot under 30%. So how can you draft this guy to take the ball out of your best players hands

here is where the rubber hits the road… miller and scoot would both play the 2 next year. miller is the better shooter, defender, height, and shot creator from mid range so its an easy pick really.
