  1. Yeah something tells me that hawks are not doing much this off-season. Congrats Deandre Hunter, you entered Dwight Powell territory.

  2. Jazz have tons of 1st rounders, it shows me how competent our FO is(again)

  3. We can only hope a third team jumps in before it's complete

  4. Collins can go. No effort, no heart. JJ is more energy and effort. I like this new culture. Play guys with chip on shoulders.

  5. The front office are very idiotic they could have done this 3 years ago. Its overwhelming the stupidity of all of this. Unbelievable!!!

  6. This was to be expected. Collins wasn't a fit with the current roster construction. I wouldn't be all too surprised if Hunter wasn't on the move as well. Can't have more than 2 guys on the floor that can't shoot from range today or be able to facilitate their own shot. If Hunter doesn't shoot better and improve his offensive game all around he'll be the next one gone.

  7. Not JC Not our player representative!!! You were the only one we could ACTUALLY run into in the A. They did you wrong man I’m sorry bro I hope you progress from here on out I know you will.

  8. He is perfectly suited for the same action plays that the jazz constantly run with Lauri. His numbers should bounce back and his contract won't look as bad. It also saves the jazz from overpaying for a guy in this underwhelming FA class which you have to convince to come, overpay, and offer a guaranteed role. Even if Collins doesn't play his contract alone becomes a valuable asset in year 3. Any production from him just increases the value of that contract

  9. I really like the flexibility the trade exception provides. This exception will be beneficial with the new 10% rule for traded contracts. What is the new starting lineup you think? Jalen in John's place? Or start AJ at 3 and slide Hunter to the 4? Just curious about your thoughts on this.

  10. 3yrs of shopping this man around and all y'all got was rudy gay and washing machine.

  11. This was a salary dump, no doubt. This was also done to get Jalen Johnson a big role in the rotation. Quin used him a lot down the stretch, and Jalen played well. I believe Jalen will start sooner rather than later, but if not he will see big minutes regardless, and I'm excited about that.

  12. I like John but didn't fit the role. The Hawks killed his trade value by telling the entire league they don't want him. That 2nd round pick is worthless.

  13. Jazz fan here. Hawks fans shouldn't sweat this trade as much as they should be worried about the hire of Quin Snyder. Horrible coach. Got outcoached every single playoff. Refused to play rookies. Wouldn't change his rotation no matter how poorly his guys played. Causing half of the roster to quit.

  14. Brad, the guy was traded for a second round pick after everyone on the planet knew he was on the block. It's obvious the NBA just doesn't value him to the level you do. I'm not trying to be rude, but it feels like you are personally invested in the "JC is really good!" narrative at this point. Again, it's obvious he's just not viewed by anyone that matters like you view him, sorry. Either he's a good player and the contract is viewed much more negatively than you admit. Or he's just simply not viewed as anything special as a player. It's pretty obvious that's the reality of the situation unless you think there was some better deal out there that the Hawks just magically turned down to spite fans.

  15. On behalf of the Utah Jazz fans WE THANK YOU ATL!!!! For a 2nd rder and a guy who wasn’t gonna play for us this yr is a STEAL

  16. So sad that we fully nuked his value over the past few years. Going to miss John dearly, gave us fans some of the best highlights and years as a Hawk.

I currently live in Utah and promise you I will try to go to as Manu games as possible and will always support JC.

  17. The first trade was going to be an autograph from John Stockton, and Karl Malone's cellphone number! So the Hawks made out like a bandit!
