If we regress from last season (40 wins or less), someone’s gonna be gone next offseason. Probably Dort. We shouldn’t be regressing unless injuries just play a major role. I expect us to be at or close to 50 wins

Objectively better roster with more experience = less wins?
TheNumberSeven_7
To be honest, we could win the same games as next year and still be much better. There are zero teams in the West that are tanking next year. Barring injury, the Lakers, Warriors, Blazers, Mavs, Pelicans, Rockets, Spurs, and Clippers will all win more games than they did last year.
MAMBAMENTALITY8-24
The league has a lot of talent man. Probably be around .500 in the west again.
Signiference
We getting 50.
BigBonesMilk
We got to the play-in while handicapped by the lack of a rim protector.

For those “keeping receipts,” go ahead and throw your Twitter handle in here. I’m tryin to see somethin…
It’s easy to throw stones at folks who make predictions… especially if you never put yourself out there or provide anything of substance yourself.
Hindsight is always easy. I’m sure NOBODY in here wanted Bouknight (I did) and I’m sure everyone was 100% on board with Giddey at 6.

It’s not an unreasonable thing to say
Like 12 games we were handed bc starters against us sat
That said
Adding chet and development of other guys we win 50 games
AnkitPancakes
honestly, i am of the same mindset lol. i think we can be an objectively better team but have a similar/worse record.
the_mad_
It could easily be my imagination but I think we struggled more versus the bench teams then the teams that took us seriously.
Humble_Insurance_247
The west does look really good next season
Nickname-CJ
I think 43 is reasonable right?
RefrigeratorOwn4601
It’s plausible. We went 9-7 in one possession games (incl. all games that went to OT). That could easilly flip to 7-9, even if the team improves.
If you look at analytics like raptor or warp, even banchero and j-dub were negatives (jdub had neg raptor and pos warp), so no guarantee chet will improve our win totals. We can hope he helps our biggest weakness, but it won’t for sure translate to wins.
Happy if we just keep sticking with the process, and hopefully reach a 7 game series where we can show off the improvement is for real.
darkknight_178
Of course we will get a top 5 pick next year when there’s no generational talent like wemby, lol
GunstarGreen
42-40. Chet helps, the core got a bit older and wiser. I sorta depends of we commit to giving big minutes to project players. If we can get any tune out of Poku or Dieng it’s a bonus.

Here’s a receipt[Last year’s receipt.](https://twitter.com/john1and1/status/1541508804994650113?s=46&t=oA80LNct3uNb1pO-FkpkVg)
I don’t necessarily agree with the win total projection or that they’ll have a big impact but which of the supporting points aren’t true?
If we stay relatively healthy, I see us at 45 Wins (Chet’s +5 he wants!), and us as the 6th Seed in 23-24.
Dude the west is tough tough next year
I would be happy with any result as long as the team shows improvement
