The Charlotte Hornets may the steal of the draft with Nick Smith Jr. A potential top 10 pick at one time that falls to 27 due to injury and his play while he was injured. Nick Smith Jr. has a chance to prove everyone wrong and show how great of a player he is. Hornets made an incredible pick here.

Read up on this guy and you might be right dude.
Appreciate the videos!
I hope he gets minutes. What does the future look like for DSJ now do we keep him or not? We have so many guards. I do want to see Bouk play for us for a bit longer though.
HalleluYAH
Steve Clifford is on the hot seat this team has to start off fast early in season
Pretty decent draft overall! a lil upset we didn't get GG down the line as well
Nick Smith Jr. was NEVER mocked at 27 and in my opinion he's always been a top 10 talent. He came back at the end of the college season and wasn't just right… but still put up a few 20 point games and showed off that potential. Charlotte did damned good in this draft — not perfect, but surprisingly great. James Nnaji is a really exciting one too. I can't say I spent a lot of time following him, though I did see some of his footage from Barcelona and I knew a little bit about him going into the draft, but he seems like a guy who can play the dunker role on offense and be versatile on defense now and hopefully improve his all around game in the future. I don't really think he'll be around when the season starts… he's probably going back to Spain for a year or more. Amari Bailey was one of the players I really wanted so I think that's an A+ at 41. (Bailey shot 49.5% from the field and 38.9% from deep on the season, drawing the start in 28 of his 30 appearances.) I would have liked to see us bring in GG Jackson though… can't believe he went 45th and Vukcevic was on the board too and we worked out both of those guys. But all in all, not mad at the draft results. I'd say its a B+ at minimum on the draft grade. Nick Smith Jr. being available at 27 was a big part of that grade.
Why not take emoni bates smh
Congrats on the 1kš„
Nick is a great shooter! Shooting is one of his strengths.
Nfs you and him got the same face š
Congrats on 1k
Thatās the pick I liked the most Amari Bailey not bad either
Canāt stop smilinā ā¦ now that I been binginā on NSJ tape all day.
Whoa!
The Nick and Melo show will be epic in time.
Steal?
More like grand theft larceny at # 27.
If he stays healthy, that is.
There were a couple plays in the tournament, sweet 16 round where Nick smith Jr should have dove on the floor or just put a little more effort into making winning basketball plays and he didnāt. His coach pulled him out and yelled at him for it. If I could see that NBA teams definitely did.
The draft was deep Iām pretty sure thereās more than 5 steals
just because yāall ugly asses look alike donāt mean itās a steal smhš¤¦š½āāļø
New ownership, fire the staff, and get a good coaching staff for once who knows how to develop a team. Preferably younger, james Borrego had great potential, but we let him, go all these firings the could of snatched up a good coach or assistants, bc as we know coaching is very important for young teams like charlotte
I feel age made Hornets swing for James Nnaji (18yr) vs Oscar Tshiebwe (23yr).
My only wish was that Hornets should've gone for Leonard Miller who was available in the early 30s. Just don't get why they passed on him.
