If they use MLE, I’d think this is more likely:
– stay out of tax
– using $9M of the $12.4M MLE on a FA
– waiving non-guaranteed contracts of TP, JMac + Knight
– sign 1 vet min (maybe JMac?)
– sign Miller + Clark to rookie min
– re-signing NAW for $6.5M
– leave a roster spot open
As the idea of the Wolves using the full MLE ($12.4M) is gaining some steam, a reminder: A team can only use that MLE if they stay below the 1st apron.
Even if paying the tax were approved, they don't have space below 1st apron to do all three of: MLE; guarantee TP; re-sign NAW. pic.twitter.com/SaAuzdFtea

I saw someone point out that Prince’s guarantee kicks in tomorrow so we’ll likely find out what the plan here is rather quickly it seems 👀
Miller will get close to $1.8 M, Clark will get 2-way. There is absolutely no way you want to guarantee salary to 53rd pick who will miss the whole year; last year EJ Liddell got 2-way after he got hurt in the summer league. Early 2nds typically get around $1.7-2 M in their first year. Also, Miller is from the same agency as McDaniels and now Edwards, Wolves are now doing a lot of business with these guys.
I’d hate to love TP after seeing our record with/without him this past year. It hurts less if we can keep NAW and assuredly use the MLE to get one of the top 5 or so candidates. There’s just going to be a lot of competition for that group.
The list for me is B. Brown, D. DiVencencvo, D. Schröder, C. White, K. Oubre, M. Strus, Jalen McDaniels. Every year it feels like a few of these ‘MLE candidates’ get more, so then it doesn’t make TP look so bad at $7.4M.
Bruce Brown would fit nicely especially defensively.. only concern how will we use him offensively?
Get Kyle Lowry after the Heat release him
Jalen McDaniels pls
I think it is Schroder after the game he had against a hurt Ant.
