Anyone have any thoughts on Keita Bates Diop? 6’8, 28 year year old SF/PF, averaged 9/4/1.5 on 50/39/79 splits for the Spurs last year, had a positive VORP and OBPM even though he played on a tank team which is good I guess lol
Idk anything about his game or how he plays
And he seems promising so maybe Spurs just bring him back. But he looks interesting
Every year, I’m happy with pretty much every decision Kerr makes. Even stuff I disagree with, I can usually see his logic and am ok with it. But there is one thing I complain about every season, he can overplay the starters in the playoffs. This last year that got extended to the regular season as well. Not playing the Kuminga/Moody was near criminal to me. Overplaying Klay during the playoffs we all saw coming as a bad idea because of how bad he does on 1 day of rest.
4 championships is impressive, but it seems like he’s stuck in 2015 in playing the core 3 all the time. He benched Iguodala at a younger age to give more time HB. I firmly believe he should be doing the same for JK/MM. They need the reps, and the vets need less time on the court. I can go on, but this is going to be my mantra all season long…again. The older players should be playing less time than they used to, and the younger players need lots of PT to improve their game
