Bro deserves it the way he performs in the playoffs

  2. Theingloriousak2

Dude almost played more playoff games than he played regular season games a year ago lol

  3. Rperez8747

Automatic given. Don’t even let him consider free agency. Offer that Day 1

  4. jonbemerkin

This isn’t news, the news will be if he declines it.

He’s 30 years old and played in 73% of our games (RS + playoffs).

For reference Giannis is 29 years old and played in 76% of the Bucks’ games.

And AD was as good or better than Giannis according to most impact metrics, in the regular season and the playoffs.

Anybody doubting if this extension is a good idea isn’t worth listening to.

  7. Not too many two way bigs that have his skills in this league. Lakers would be dumb not to extend him. But for ffs, give him a center to play next to so he can slide over to PF half the time and preserve his body.

Deserves every Penny. We are not getting a better player than him via free agency. Once Bron leaves (possibly next season) he will be the piece that attracts the next star. Hoping a guy like Giannis with the Ham connection.

There needs to be a mutual agreement. Too much $$$ especially if we are talking about his health status down the road.$45 + mil sounds bout right y’all

Fun fact, that’s about 700-800 times what the average nurse/teacher makes.

Pay this fuckin man. Anyone in here that suggests otherwise is unserious about us being WCF good for the next three years

As far as i remember, AD signed for a lesser contract the last time due to his injury concerns. Hopefully this will be the case again if ever he gets an extension. Hard to lose him for nothing if he walks. He’s still a damn good player when he is on.

He shouldn’t take the max for basketball reasons but get your money king. But we might be ass when Lebron retires

  14. 15-cent

He’s the best defensive player in the league, and was the key to the WCF run this past season. I wish he was more consistent offensively, but he is undoubtedly still good enough to help lead a championship run.

At least 1 of those years will be paying for damaged goods

  16. Pay it now. He’s earned it and it would make the Lakers a perfect free agent destination of a player like Doncic or Tatum decide to move on.

I think he’s going to separate himself from Lebron as the primary star moving forward as Lebron moves to whatever team drafts his son next year. They are about to make him the long term star and face of the franchise moving forward.

We need to build around this dude whatever it takes

The same people who defended westbrook as merely a “bad fit” are the same people who give AD a pass for being injured constantly/ soft af/ and mentally checked out on random given nights.

I’m over AD. He’s great when he DOES play and is into the game, but trading him and starting the rebuild is the smartest option. Dude won 1 chip and all of a sudden relaxed. His shooting has regressed since the chip. He got out ran by Jokic. Lebron is 39. People really think we going to replicate what we did this year running it back, you’re delusional. We beat a hobbled grizzlies team and the smallest team in the league.

Its time to start thinking fast rebuild. Which means turning AD into players or picks.
