He reached out because on draft night, Black said everyone counted him out and said he wouldn't make it. So I'm guessing Jokic saw this and wanted him to feel great about making the NBA.
Jokic said the exact same thing to Paolo Banchero at the NBA finals, there's an interview somewhere (that he did to Anthony Black)
I don't like interviews with people with Lakers shirts on their wall.
The Bulls would be much better if Lonzo Ball wasn't hurt. I can relate.
Some people celebrate differently I guess, but one thing is for sure and that is that I have no doubt Jokic cares a lot.
I have to be honest I had considered that the Nuggets would be a destination amongst some guys looking to rebuild their stock and have a shot at a ring, but I hadn't considered that Murray tearing his ACL and his immediate response of winning a title after the front office kept faith in his recovery could also play into people like Bruce who might trust the team enough to forgoe double the money thia year to stay with a team he likes and next year get the same money. Interesting concept.
I hope Bruce takes care of himself, he's a legend here either way in Denver.
