(Todd) I’m told Jordan Clarkson will exercise his player option to stay with the Utah Jazz for the 2023-24 season, according to league sources. This leaves the door open for the Jazz to extend his contract.

  1. Idk that he’s part of our long term core, but I love JC and happy for him to spend more of his career with the team.

Til Danny flips him for something at the deadline lol.

The Jazz now have some very trade-able contracts to work with! THT, JC, and what seems likely to be KO.

Sweet, I love Clarkson. More than happy to have him on the team but I wonder if he will be a part of a trade for more assets. It’s always nice to have another vet in the locker room and keep a fan favorite.

The team is better with Jordan Clarkson on it. I know some people were ready to move on and let Ochai take over the SG spot full time, but I’m happy to have good depth.

Awesome. I’m a Clarkson fan, but I want him traded, because Collin is basically Clarkson 2.0. His value is easily a first round pick, so as much as I’m a Clarkson fan, I’m glad he opted in, so we can trade him.

He averaged 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, surely a team could’ve offered him a Norman Powell contract. Duncan Robinson is getting paid more this season than him

Wow our team has a lot of depth. Good for a playoff run or trades.

Awesome. I know he doesn’t fit our window, but he’s a damn fun guy to watch, he’s loyal, and we need vets in the locker room

I’m guessing that we are working on an extension with him, or are exploring a sign and trade. If neither one of those happen, and he stays for a year at 14 million, that would be amazing.

I am actually surprised by this! This must mean JC didn’t have much of a market for a new deal this FA.

I was totally (and still sort of still am until it’s official) expecting JC to test free agency. It seems like such a weak free agency market, and I can see some contenders sending JC a decent offer. On one hand I’ll be extremely happy to have him back, but then on the other hand I want Keyonte and Brice to get NBA minutes and it sort of log jams the SG position.

TBH fit and timing be damned. I love JC

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one!

Has the market just dried up? I thought he was going to go and get another 3-4 year bag.

I will wait till it is official, but if it is true I will be very happy

Shit. Love the guy but would have preferred he moved on for his and our sake, he still can we will see

Solid. Happy about this, great mentor for Keynote.

    Will Sexton be traded?

  17. Certain_Strawberry77

Cant wait for all the “will JC-THT-and a Clev 1st get X disgruntled star?” posts this season

I’m surprised. Good to know someone is happy to stay with the Jazz. Still need a PG tho.

  19. BeautifulAndStoned

Hell yeah! Thought he was gone for sure.
