Looks like Grant’s staying? Is Brad going all in and say “fuck the 2nd apron”?

Grant’s qualifying offer is $8.5M, which means the taxpayer MLE is off the table unless we sign-and-trade him or rescind the qualifying offer.

This whole Grant cap situation doesn’t make sense to me. Im just gonna trust brad to do his job.

man this team is not too far away from winning a chip. I just wish the ownership would bite the bullet one last time and re-sign grant for next szn

PLEASE GRANT PLEASE GRANT PLEASE GRANT

I CANNOT LOSE SMART AND GRANT AND BE LEFT WITH TINGUS PINGUS

This seems like a logical way for this to go. Grant clearly thinks he is worth much more than the Celtics are offering this allows him to test his theory. If he is wrong he can come back at more than double what he made last year and try to play well and make more money. If he can show he’s a guy that can defend 2-5 and make 38% of his 3’s he will get his money.

Honestly, I think he would help a lot of NBA teams (particularly the Celtics) and has already shown he can make 3’s and defend at a rate that deserves real NBA money. I don’t see him back on the Celtics but I hope I am wrong

how to overcome Marcus Smart not playing with celtics? think he is injured for the season. that is the way 🙂 to not miss him.

Someone is going to offer more, but he’s under no obligation to accept right? I really hope we can retain him but I don’t understand NBA cap stuff at all.
