There’s a Twitter rumor going around that the clips are trying to shed some salary now to lower their tax bill and then swing a sign and trade for Harden. They have enough contracts in the $10-18 million range to send back as matching salary.

I don’t see how we would get them given they’d want less salary back than they’d be sending out. Tobi makes $42M. While his expiring lowers their cap projection in future years, he’d make things actively worse for them as far as avoiding the second apron this* year. Unless he were rerouted to a team who could sign him into space with LAC gaining a trade exception.

I would love Powell if his contract was a year shorter. That price point for three more years worries me. However if we do it I won’t hate it. Covington is just salary at this point and he’s expiring. I’d love him to come back for nostalgia, but I wouldn’t expect much of anything from him. He looks washed.

Given his contract vs his production we definitely don’t need roco back. Watching him go 1/13 while taking every shot with 17 seconds on the shot clock is not something we need to see ever again. I honestly think a lot of the people that want roco back didn’t actually watch the sixers when he was here. He’s not that guy on defense anymore and he was never that guy on offense

I do think a James harden Tobias Harris swap for Paul George and some other pieces makes sense for both teams. Idk if it actually happens though
