Makes sense. He’s not worth $7 million on the open market
These are the moves you have to make after giving Naz $14 million a season
Edit: not to make it seem like that was a bad move, but we went over what was expected ~10-12 million and now are getting pinched to stay under the tax
We must feel confident in being able to sign the person we want if we’re releasing him and TP.
Hopefully we can still bring back NAW at a more reasonable price though.
His market is TPMLE which is $5 M this year. I see Denver acquiring him since he played so well against them. Would not be surprised if he comes back; however, Connelly clearly has a plan for tomorrow, you don’t let TP and NAW go just like this.
It was fun to watch him for a season. We still don’t know what he’ll turn into. Starter, bench player or completely out of the league in 4 years. I would have liked to take a chance in his development though.
Did he become an UFA now and we lost matching rights?
Hey hey woah woah woah

Connelly better pop off in free agency if hes letting go of NAW and TP.
This does not mean he’s not coming back. Just that hes not getting 7M from us (at least right away).
Hmmm…..
More fallout from the Rudy Gobert trade…smh
NAW is a good defensive player, but maybe the wolves need 3 point shooting
We get full MLE now. Works for me. Maybe we can still get him back.
Who let Tim Connelly cook
