Imagine the hell we would have been through if we wanted to resign Kyrie and Harden right now. Sheesh, I am glad Marks and Co. blew it up before then. We are in a much better position then we would have been if we didn’t.
People say we didn’t win but we still took sixers last tradable first round pick and an expiring contract in Ben Simmons that could have been used in trades. I’ll take this as a win.
I saw this happening the second last season started, dude looked like he lost 7 steps after the hamstring injury, no gm in his right mind could justify maxing him for 4+ years.
He was an absolute fool for refusing our extension offer for the 5 year full max and playing alongside Kyrie and KD.
Him and Kyrie had max deals on the table and didn’t sign. Now no teams will give them the deals. Maybe Dallas has to now but if they were going to, he wouldn’t be threatening to meet with the Suns
